New polls show bad news for Democrats and they can only blame themselves.

One possible explanation for the difference between the more positive response regarding party affiliation and the negative response regarding favorability is that a significant percentage of Democrat leaning voters are disappointed in what they consider the apparently weak response of the party's leadership to Trump's policies.

It should also be noted that Democrats have been outperforming the expected results in the polls that matter i.e special elections.

How about the part that FIRES federal employees because they put out a report that the president does not agree with, simply because the president has gone around announcing that his first six months of his current term is the best in the history of the U.S., and the report is clear evidence that this is not true. He accuses the report writer of lying on the report without evidence, and fires her. Sounds like textbook fascism to me.

What if getting rid of the Mexican immigrants is devastating for the U.S. economy? What if no Americans step up and offer to install roofs, pick fruits and vegetables, and work in meat packing factories for minimal wages? Are you going to volunteer for one or more of those jobs? Let's face it. Trump fired her because she told a truth he did not like. The next one will be brought in to lie when the numbers are not what Trump wants them to be, and we all know that (otherwise, why did he fire her?). That person will have no reason to lie when the true numbers are good, but since we all will know that the person will have been brought in to try to lie away bad economic numbers, even when that person posts honestly derived good results, we will have no expectation that the good numbers are real and we will not be able to count on their being real.

So that is just one way Trump's dishonest firing of the head of the BLS will harm us. Even when the numbers actually are good, since nobody will know whether or not they are honest, we will not accrue the full benefits we should accrue from any future good economic news.

Agree but the issue is that the Dem umbrella contains many many many small factions like trans rights. The issue is that most of those small groups don't like the other small groups so it's difficult to build consensus other than saying Trump is a racist / fascist dictator and hope that's enough for everyone to get behind.
