We should be top 15 with those 10 through 15 teams ahead of us. The U at 10 is a stretch. Hope they are still top 10 when we play. I like our chances against Beck. He likes to throw to us !
A nice set of games. We will know what is up with LSU and Miami before we play them. Looked at a Miami site and they are convinced their true freshman WR Joshua Moore is going to dominate out of the gate. I don't think he is in the same league with Dallas Wilson myself.

According to this article, Texas has NEVER been preseason #1 before until the 2025 season. How many times has Florida been preseason #1? I believe that the first time was in 1994 (?preseason AP) followed by 1997 after UF had won their first national championship in 1996. In 2001 either the coaches or the AP poll had UF as the preseason #1; it was split between Miami and Florida - one team was 1 and the other was 2. Finally, the 2009 season was the last time that Florida had been preseason #1. The Gators went 12-0 in the regular season before losing in the SECCG to Alabama. By my recollection, Florida was preseason #1 four times: '94, '97, '01 & '09.
I think this poll opinion is based mostly on our strength of schedule. I think we should be in the top 12 talent wise, maybe even in the top 10.
They’re loaded, return a lot of key starters and the schedule is weak …outside 3 games. But Franklin has been rather poor against top ranked teams. They basically gave them an auto bid for a first round bye in the playoffs with that ranking and weak ass schedule.
