No Skylar and I assume that is because of her injured ankle. I mean, she only finished in the top 5 of batting during this past season. That she would be there if healthy, or if she wanted to be, is a given. She also, with Amanda, is on the USA National team playing in August around AU so I'm not sure how that figures into the equation.
Kendra is starting in right field for Aleshia and hitting 9th in the game starting at 2:00 on ESPN2. Bubba Nickels is in center which means the best center fielder on the team isn't in center. Edit: Aleshia isn't that dumb. Kendra is playing for Kilfoyl.
Suffice to say Kendra not only drove in the winning run but also saved the game with using her incredible speed to use a slide to cut off a hit down the right field line to keep the tying run from scoring. Korbe had three hits including the bomb. Kendra was voted by the players the #1 MVP of the game. Korbe was voted the #3 MVP. Great day for our Gator kids.
Do any of you knowledgeable fans know what Charla Echols is doing today. I liked her a lot. Greatest smile in the world.
LMAO. Kendra is currently third on the leaderboard with one game to go for this opening series. If she ends up after that game at least fourth, she will be the captain for the next series. Which means she has to sit up there on the stage, with the cameras on, and draft her own complete new team and then be the manager calling every move for the next series. I'm thinking, after what would be only three pro games, that's likely the last place she wants to be. If it happens, I can imagine a ton of frantic phone calls between her and Walton...."what the hell am I supposed to do????".
I have more confidence in her. That is not to say she would not be nervous and want to get help. But LeLe and Amanda are there, and if they are not captains, they will help her. I hope it happens.
