Sigh… questions for the MAGA minds:

    1. Does a de facto stimulus check result in an increase in money supply, cause inflation, and therefore keeps interest rates high?
    2. If tariffs don’t impact the consumer, why do you need a “rebate”?

How does “run away” boy think this doesn’t go to Biden voters? Weirdo.

^ it's interesting how Trumppublican politicians outright state that they are trying to use the federal government to help only voters of a specific political party. They don't even pretend to have ethics.

I guess this is the America MAGA envisioned. It must make Trump voters so proud.

Make prices higher and then give everyone money to offset the higher costs. American Capitalism is entering its Maduronomics era, and I guess fortunately we also have the American government to blame too.

I don’t support a rate cut and I want every penny of tariff revenue to go to retiring bonds on its own budget line so it doesn’t get lumped into the general revenue

Then Trump can just issue new bonds to pay for his $4.5 trillion in tax cuts for the rich.

Well 'free trade' involves free movement of labor, and you know they arent going to go for that part. Its a bit strange some capitalists are rebelling against the free movement of capital/trade goods part too. Ultimately though, I wish someone would tell me why its better for me to pay more for stuff for no return.

They think paying more for stuff is going to somehow lead to us manufacturing phones and stuff here. That's the best I can tell.

Why pay $500 for a smartphone now when it can be made by Americans for $20 an hour and cost $1500?

I think the Pubs have finally learned the lessons of the past. You cannot compete with Santa and free stuff. Financial conservatism is a loser in a plurality election system. There will always be fewer producers than leeches so it’s been a layup for decades for the left to stump on the ideas of either ‘free stuff’ or the other side wants to take away your ‘free stuff that we gave you ‘. The looney lefties on here aren’t mad about tariff rebates they are just mad they don’t have the monopoly on free stuff mantra during elections anymore. I’ll be on the lookout for my check.

interesting that you haven’t voiced this same cost/benefit concern about the education system as it cranks out a perpetually worse product with skyrocketing costs.
