Just seeing his play already, he appears to have more toughness in his little pinky that AR had in his whole body. He played through a pulled hammy (a micro-tear maybe) which I know from experience is very debilitating. He may turn out to be injury prone, but I bet this kid toughs through a lot of little minor junk that would have put AR on the bench.
Yeah, he's had some injury issues, but AR is on another level. That's a harsh comparison. For some reason, I don't think we're ever going to witness DJ taking a breather while his offense is in the redzone.
Even if 100% healthy sit him out vs LIU. No need to risk him against team well beat unless our whole team becomes literally blind for the game. Remember Jordan Travis got injured against no name FCS school.
I say one and a half… Let him play a few non-running plays if they feel that is safe Play him more against USF if we feel it is absolutely needed
Edit: didn’t pay attention to original post – was thinking how many before he plays games start to finish. How many games this season? Don’t even want to ponder playing after the first two games this season without him
If only we had a kid who would go out as a true freshman, and play basically on one leg, and beat a pair of ranked teams, then go on the road and beat FSU. Oh wait
Why can't we have nice things? This article says it is a calf strain. Gators QB Lagway in boot as fall camp to open
