So many of the trivia questions are from my youth so I have a hope of knowing them. I kind of stopped watching MLB after the season ending strike except for the year the White Sox had an incredible postseason and they sucked me in for a couple of weeks. I grew up on the Southside and had to watch.
they may be Indians again before anyone gets this one.. I know STL were Browns,, but were they also Browns at one point??? no idea.
STL Browns became Orioles.. was just guessing Clv was also Browns at one point.. nfl/Paul Brown related guess
exactly what i was guessing on.. incorrect apparently lol.. I didnt think so, but had nothing else. Do any of their current minor league teams have one of the names?? Clippers maybe? Probably not the Rubber Ducks.
I knew that the current Orioles had been the St. Louis Browns, but didn’t know (or if did, forgot) that in the AL’s first year, 1901, they were the Milwaukee Brewers before moving the next year to St. Louis. The Seattle Pilots expansion and move to Milwaukee is within my memory. Any 1902 move is a little before my time (although some days, doesn’t feel by much).
Pretty much everyone knows that Elston Howard took over catching duties for the NYY after Yogi moved from behind the plate. What position did Howard play before he started catching?
I'm going to guess LF because Yogi went to LF when EH went to catcher. I remember the Pirate 2B who hit the HR over Yogi's head in LF. Howard played LF.
