My Dad wasn’t a Yankees fan per se, but he did like Mickey Mantle, Whitey Ford, and Yogi. I remember him saying Whitey Ford was one “crafty lefty”. He wasn’t wrong.
Just now seeing this thread 4 pages in, so hope Im doing this right.. This is probably an easy one to start.. Don Mattingly set a single season record for GS in a season w/ 6. (1987) How many GS did he hit the rest of his career? Bonus. What player has since tied his record of 6?
Hafner I believe tied him. Not sure how many more grand slams Mattingly had. Let's go 6 more. I live in WH now so followed Hafner a bit.
Since we can ask as many as we desire, name the 69 WS infield for the Orioles. It was a good one. They did however lose to the Miracle Mets. Should not have IMO but it was destiny.
What pitcher had the most wins in the 1970's.? 1970 to 1979. Who had the second most wins? First is pretty easy.
Both are in top 5, but no. When talking baseball with people the first guy doesn't get the respect he deserves in my opinion to his greatness. The second guy is not as good as Seaver or Carlton. Think rubber arm.
Yes sir on the first. The second is Gaylord Perry. Gave you some Orioles trivia! Your up! Palmer won 20 games 8 out of 9 years.
Before my time but pretty sure Frank Robinson was on that team as well. In OF w/ Paul Blair, and ?? Also dont know who C was.
I didnt see a MLB only rule,, So ill mix it up and go college. I do have plenty of MLB/Os stuff though..lol Most career ncaa strikeouts by P & how many(w/in 20 will suffice)
