My Dad went in the opposite direction when he retired. I went over to visit after just a few weeks of him being retired and he told me all about how he's come across this new method for doing laundry. Basically you let it fill up completely and then you put the clothes in. That way the detergent is completely dissolved before you put the clothes in.

This guy was handling retirement so poorly he had to convince himself he was innovating on not only how my Mom had been doing laundry for her husband and sons for 30+ years, but laundry in general.

I know Saban was joking here but every person who basically spends every waking moment as CEO/president/king of their own fiefdom and then retires, there is definitely a sudden realization in some way. I especially imagine the "wife is boss at home" becomes less funny when you're no longer the boss away from home.

 

I was at that one. Well worth the trip
