Indiana showed us all just how much tey deserved to be in the playoff. The Big is much more top heavy than SEC.
My guess is 78k with no knowledge. Just sounds kike a number thats almost 80 but not. Never get what we want
The over looked issue is gonna be people moved from decades long seating in the lower bowl because of the reno and reduced capacity to less attractive seats and filling the less desirable seats at inflated prices
Not to quibble too much, but in the article Stricklin frames that figure as “early estimates.” If that holds true, a 5K cut in official capacity could be acceptable if done the right way.( of course that is a matter of opinion) We’ll just have to wait for the finished renovations to see. If bleacher setting is completely removed, I highly doubt those estimates even with additional structural changes. I don’t think even Stricklin knows the numbers for sure, but changes seem to be both inevitable and necessary.
Better have a Sonnys BBQ, and a Dixie Crossroads, both of which sell draft beer is what I'm talking about.
Of course, until a real set of plans and specifications come out, all one can do (even architects) is provide projections, and even then, one may expect design changes during demolition when things come into better perspective.
Maybe they will cut the number of seats at the student section. A lot of empty seats there whenever I go to games. But that was 10 years ago the last year I went to regular season games.
I’m sorry if I sounded confrontational, I certainly didn’t mean to, and everything you have said above is absolutely true. I guess a certain amount of trust is required, in a era when trust can be hard to come by. I’ve been a season ticket holder for 40+ years, and have to be honest, it is becoming more and more difficult financially to pull off. I’m getting old enough to forgo personal attendance, but If possible I would like for my grandchildren to be able to share the same kind of wonderful experiences my son and I had over those 40+ years.
