Sooners will have to make a gigantic turnaround this year to be mentioned with those 4 and their talent advantage. aTm and USC are more likely to be in the top 6. I will finally give Heupel respect if he can use the leftovers at qb to rescue their season and get in the top 6 with a stout defense.
They literally had the 6th best total defense in the country last year. Narratives get pushed but people actually don’t watch the games do they. Muschamp never had better than the 78th total offense bud.

Can't agree. Good defenses (and even some like ours) have nullified some of his offense, but his defenses have been getting better. He is improving personnel.

Based on how we finished last year and what is perceived to be a known commodity in the other teams, 6th place is a fair assessment. Time to prove some people wrong and move up.
I think our skill players match up with anyone in the league comes down to the trenches and injuries.
