Gators Picked 6th in SEC

I want to see the Gator Boys slap that smirk off Matthew ("our place is at the head of the SEC table") McConoughey's face so badly I can almost taste it. You don't even want to know what cruel and unusual things I hope to see them do to LSU and scUM in front of their home crowds. Spot the ball indeed.

 

It was the media poll taken after SEC media days. Last year they picked us 12th.

 

Not exactly the worst thing to be called. Tide, UGA, LSU, Sooners, Texas alone would make us 6. Other candidates but at a glance but yeah, I’m in! Every year! Go Gators!

Sooners will have to make a gigantic turnaround this year to be mentioned with those 4 and their talent advantage. aTm and USC are more likely to be in the top 6. I will finally give Heupel respect if he can use the leftovers at qb to rescue their season and get in the top 6 with a stout defense.

 

Its a tough road to hoe. The top six teams are usually pretty legit.

Heupel is the bizzaro Muschamp. Great offense, terrible defense regardless of the personnel

 

Well, except in reverse...

 

They literally had the 6th best total defense in the country last year. Narratives get pushed but people actually don’t watch the games do they. Muschamp never had better than the 78th total offense bud.

 

I think he just mixed up off and def. Remember the Muschamp Mizzou game? It was like 12-7. lol just refused to not run the ball.

 

Yeah I was just off the dome. 6 to non O&B glasses isn’t a slight at all. The reason we’re not lower is because we are in fact getting a little respect pre season.

 

Even if that was what he was trying to say, Tennessee offense was top 10 with Hooker literally 2 years ago. He’s wrong either way.

 

Can't agree. Good defenses (and even some like ours) have nullified some of his offense, but his defenses have been getting better. He is improving personnel.

 

We beat lsu and knocked ol miss out of their playoff spot last year. We were average. Thats tough.

 

Honestly folks I am getting a little "prediction fatigue" now. Dog days of summer I guess. Fortunately the real deal will be upon us pretty soon, talk is cheap, spot the ball.............

 

Based on how we finished last year and what is perceived to be a known commodity in the other teams, 6th place is a fair assessment. Time to prove some people wrong and move up.

 

I think our skill players match up with anyone in the league comes down to the trenches and injuries.
