Ukraine's best hope right now is that Russia's economy collapses in the next few months. And it could, if Trump gets aggressive with sanctions and increases military aid to Ukraine. Putin is working with a very short timeline before his economy collapses. My guess is that Russian soldiers will not fight a non-existential war without being paid, and Russian weapons factories will drag their feet about making weapons without being paid.
Not happening imo. Russia can carry this on as long as they need to. Heck that Donbass area likes Russia better than Ukraine anyway. Zelensky following the crooks in the west is just getting more people killed in a war that will not reverse Russia taking that Donbass area where Ukraine kept shelling the residents at the urging of our CIA etc.

Wow! Parroting the Kremlin line, word . . . for . . . word. No Russia cannot carry on this war indefinitely, unless their citizens are fighting an existential war, which they are not. There is plenty of resentment over the war, which you almost witnessed boiling over when the Wagner Group marched on Moscow. The war continues because Russia has the money to finance it, and can find bodies to fight AND force them to fight. Obviously, you don't bring in North Koreans unless your own soldiers can't get the job done. North Korea does not have a bone to pick with Ukraine. With sanctions, Russia will start to have severe monetary problems in the next few months, and if their economy collapses, the war effort falls apart, just like it did in Afghanistan. You can't keep producing weapons and ammo without spending money. Getting oligarchs to give up their fortune to donate weapons to the military (to win a war that does little or nothing for them) is not going to happen. If you disagree with the above, give me one example in all of history of a non-existential war that was won through military means (not natural disaster) by a bankrupt nation. And no, the majority of people in the Donbass are not pro-Russian. Maybe there are some vocal pro-Russians in the areas of the Donbass (while the Russians are in possession of that area), but try to remember that in 2014 Putin inserted settlers into eastern Ukraine with weapons and a mission to vandalize, terrorize, and destabilize the region so that Russia could send in the army to "save" those same Russians from "Nazi persecutors". Obviously, that was a lie. Just like the lie that Ukraine is targeting civilians. Logically, that doesn't make sense. Ukraine doesn't have enough weapons and ammo to fight the Russian army as effectively as they would want, so why would they waste it on people who are not shooting at their troops? There will be plenty of time for Ukraine to deal with the Russian terrorists in Donbass after the war is over. Try to remember that the Kremlin uses a heavy dose of propaganda to convince poorly educated people that their cause is just. Don't fall for it.

The Russian army is three times the size of Ukraine's army, they have several times the weapons production capability of Ukraine, and yet you claim the military is so incompetent that they cannot drive on Kiev faster than a few meters a day. First, the forgoing post manifestly not off-topic. You post that emoji every time you’re skewered. Second, I never argued that the Russian army was incompetent. I have argued that the US army would likely have gotten hammered by the 2022 Ukrainian army, not to mention how badly it would have fared in direct conflict with Russia.

And yes, it is a logical conclusion that Russian military incompetence is what is causing Russia to take so long to defeat Ukraine; if the sanctions are not what is stopping Russia, then what is?
It’s borderline child abuse or unfit parent level of stupid. Courts step in to protect children when crazy or religious zealot parents withdraw healthcare. Probably need some “imminent danger” to have done anything to stop it, and moving to Russia on its own wouldn’t meet that (not that it matters now, it’s a moot point). I wonder what the line would be. Trying to take kids to North Korea or to Somalia? But no doubt all their lives will be very very different regardless of the status of the father.

Just telling the reality. Our CIA etc had Ukraine shelling that area since at least 2014 knowing Russia would eventually react then had Zelensky doing that NATO talk. I think the western clowns really though they could put Russia in their place over Donbass but they have gotten a huge reality check and we damn sure aren't going to risk nuclear war over that area. These were the same Democrat politician clowns that were making tweets saying we could win this over Russia with social media. Talk about being naive.
