True. That and the fact the Billy finished recruiting last year on blast and rolled up with the 7th ranked class in the country.

Winning certainly helped. But keep those lines of communication open. Like business, always be closing cause “no” doesn’t necessarily mean “no.” It may just mean “not yet.”

Meyer tried that with Ronnie Wilson and he wasn't able to hold up his end of the bargain before being dismissed again. He lost his scholarship but was given a chance to earn his way back. Meyer still took criticism for it which i think was unwarranted. I doubt it happens in today's game where transferable and pay opportunities are limitless but I would be fine if he were given a chance under similar terms.

Cut his NIL pay, take away his scholarship and tell him he's welcomed back. If he does what he is supposed to do, he'll the scholarship back and the pay.

He was a BIG boy this spring. After getting kicked off the team, how hard do you think he has been working, in the gym?

Which of the three do you like most?

At this point, the staff is probably working a few solid three star types. Makes sense. We likely lose Perez- or many of us believe we will. We could take four big body DTs. Staff should be able to find and lure two really solid three star types.

Georgia it is. UF has to flip one of these guys or find a workable plan B. We can't go into next season with the same low numbers at DT.

Not only the numbers, but we dont have the size at DT as we had at 350 and 450 lbs that ran out of eligibility, and we dont have Scott at 350 as a walkon to throw into a goalline stand.

Just saying, we believe we have a sufficiently large front and back office staff we presume scouts(scours) the landscape, makes in roads with recruits, watches film, etc. We may not be able to get the top rated guys with 4 stars, but surely we can find a few big solid 3 star guys the staff can develop. No doubt their job is easier if they land guys that don't need much development, but we still need four big DL this cycle. It's early but not too early for the staffs to be identifying and contacting some solid plan B types. I have to believe that is in process. There are always underrated 3 star guys that flourish in college.

Your point about size is well taken. 270lb DL types are plentiful. 320+, not so many.
