With US running out of weapons to give Ukraine - and with Europe in full panic Russkies is a coming! mode - Russia cooly rejects ceasefire demands and every day is a new heaviest strike on Kyiv. Surmise: Russia concerned, wary, the Collective West unhinged.
Russia is not acting out of fear. This is an opportunity for them, pure and simple. They have a chance to capture a country that is highly successful (compared to Russia) and take ownership of its assets. Everything from minerals to farmland to vacation spots in Crimea. Russia's DNA requires them to dominate and subjugate. To a Russian leader, the period between WWII and the 1980's were the best years in Russian history. They controlled eastern Europe, and the West was afraid of them. They had power. They were a superpower, believed to be the equal of the United States for most of that time. They could start wars almost anywhere in the world, and cause the West to respond to put out the fires they started. This is what they want to recapture. Glory requires violence. Russia has conventional weapons that are more than a match for 95+% of the countries in the world (99% of the world when you count size of the militaries they would face). And if we do not stop them in Ukraine, there is a good chance that they will keep going. Why that's dangerous is because they will enlist or conscript people from those countries to help them fight NATO. You probably don't know who was doing most of the shooting at Americans, British and Canadians as they tried to land in Normandy on June 6, 1944. It was not Germans. It was Polish people, captured by Germans, and forced to fire upon Americans or be killed. A few were able to escape or kill their captors and surrender to Americans. Do you think NATO wants to fight against Russia AND Ukrainians (the two largest armies in Europe)? They will conduct their war the same way as they did with Ukraine. Wait for an opportune time, insert vandals and troublemakers, declare those who try to arrest them to be Nazis, and then send in the military to "save" their "innocent" people. They would not attempt an all-out invasion of a country without pretense until they were sure it would work. Your claim that they are doing this out of fear is exactly what the Kremlin wants you to say--you hear this line of talk from propagandists all the time. Ukraine has a combination of resources and ability to generate wealth. They are known as the world's breadbasket. Whoever controls the world's breadbasket and wields it to their advantage has enormous power globally. They also have advanced steel mills and manufacturing capabilities. Russia's poorly-run country has made the leaders jealous of Ukraine's success, developed over nearly a decade of working with the West. Instead of changing what they are doing to emulate Ukraine's success, the easy path appeared to be to just take Ukraine. Until it wasn't.
What happened to the "fight to the last Ukrainian" trope? Seems giving Ukies weapons to kill Ruskies with, is a far cry from "unhinged." Cold n calloused, perhaps... but not "unhinged." Btw...do those bombs Russia keeps dropping on Kiev etc , result in more war age Ruskies? ...or more retaliation that results in fewer of both? What's the end game here? Fight till both populations are irrevocably in free fall?
This means Potrovsk is about fall which, according to one of my disputants means the war is almost over …
There does appear to be a sizable contingent of Ukrainians who would gladly die, by the dozens, for the glory of seeing a dead Russian. Call that cool ? Cool. And sorry that the war is not more entertaining to you, but I suspect Russia will continue pounding until the Ukrainian war machine simply collapses. Here I presume that not every Ukrainian is willing to die for Trump.
12 months later and over 100K KIA and the RGF is moving in on taking a tactical objective. That is clearly a Big W for the RGF!
I know what Little Marco said, but I’d be surprised if Russia has lost 100k the entire war. BTW: recent body exchanges are running 52:1 Ukrainian:Russian.
Only one country (Russia) has been dumping off their own bodies during these exchanges as if they were Ukrainians. Think that could have an impact on the ratio?
The main reason Russia is losing millions is that tainted zoo meat they were eating in 2020 and also the frostbite that spring that led to gangrene.
What we’re fighting for: The only litmus test, for the Kyiv regime is, “Do you hate Russians with all your heart, mind, soul and strength ?” Zelenskyy Regime Targets Ukraine's Leading Anti-Corruption Activist | ZeroHedge
According to the source it’s worse than that. Sooner or later even you are going to have to acknowledge that your rotten-to-the-core far-right ultra-nationalist and anti-democratic regime is getting crushed.
Because all of Ukraine belongs to Russia. Catherine the Great said so. And Ukrainians are an invasive species on Russian land
If the kill ratio was anywhere near 52:1 in favor of Russia, Ukraine would be down to fighting with elementary school students and the elderly by now. Obviously, that's not true. And neither is your claim, despite your vague references to your "source". Is it the guy who is mooning people in Alabama, or the simpleton, or the twisted logic of Caitlyn Johnson? They are all mentally-disturbed people getting by on a meager paycheck from the Kremlin. You're just a little slow to figure that out. The kill ratio is absolutely in favor of Ukraine. Russia has definitely used meat wave attacks in the past to capture heavily defended but important cities, and has been more than willing to sacrifice bodies for land. For a while, they even posted troops to shoot Russian soldiers who tried to retreat from the front lines. The only time that Russia was winning the body count was when they mined the landscape early in the war and Ukraine tried an offensive to take it back. That only lasted 2-3 months. The rest of the time, Ukraine has been fighting defensively and taking a large toll on the Russian army. Ukraine has better trained troops than Russia, especially after the initial invasion, when most of Russia's special forces troops were wiped out. Ukraine's troops are better equipped, with Russian troops forced to buy their own body armor on the open market in Russia. Ukraine has more accurate weapons (artillery, etc.) than Russia, and they are much more motivated to fight for their freedom (Russian troops have at times seemed more interested in stealing appliances from the locals). Ukraine's tanks and armored personnel carriers also do a far better job of protecting their occupants than Russia's. Ukraine generally has better strategy than Russia, demonstrated during the Great Tank Slaughter in Kursk. Russia has yet to establish dominance over the skies of Ukraine, indicated by their use of glide bombs. The use of North Korean troops (and kidnapped foreign students) to fight is also an indication that Russia has lost so many troops in this war that they are resorting to desperate measures to field a functional army against Ukraine.
