By next year, when the scale of human rights violations and economic damage caused by mass deportations becomes clear, Repubs will be running away from the issue.

Trump's Most Aggressive Immigration Policy Yet Just Dropped

The Trump administration has issued a new policy denying bond hearings to illegal immigrants as they challenge their deportation proceedings.

Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons put out a memo directing officers to detain illegal immigrants “for the duration for their removal proceedings,” according to The Washington Post. This move prevents judges from granting bond to illegal immigrants as they go through the process.

Lyons noted that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Justice Department “revisited its legal position on detention and release authorities” and decided that illegals “may not be released from ICE custody.”

Anyone encouraging violence against ICE agents or any law enforcement personnel are promoting domestic terrorism.

Maybe ICE could wear clearly identifiable uniforms and identification so people's first inclination won't be to fight back because it seems like they're being kidnapped off the streets.

Agreed. So then why did Trump pardon domestic terrorists (by your definition) who beat the hell out of Capitol Police officers on Jan 6th?

You’ll need to ask Trump why he did it as I’ve not discussed that matter with him.

oh the horrors 50(if it is really that many) out of all that have been apprehended-I can live with that

    50 out of 158000 is 0.00031%

That is out of 90 that they could study. So more than half. And that is out of the group they sent to CECOT. Supposedly the worst of the worst of Venezuelans (in reality, basically any Venezuelan, even if they were legal with a tattoo that contained a clock, a train, a crown, or any of a number of other common symbols). I already pointed out a bunch more. Keep reading.

No, 50 out of 90 (which is what they were actually studying if you could read the article) is 55.56%. And, again, that is people we sent to a foreign prison. But it is interesting how you support the government sending people in the country legally to a foreign prison with no criminal or even immigration convictions or even charges of either. Freedom and limited government are overrated, I guess.

BTW, your calculation is also wrong. By two orders of magnitude.

my numbers look correct to me- 50 people out of the 158thousand that have been apprehended were supposedly not illegals

    50 divided by 158K is 0.00031

Setting aside the fact that you still are failing to grasp that this was 50 out of a sample size of 90, what happens when you convert something into a percentage?

So we are taking the 50 men who said they came legally to the US at their word? Sure, I guess you can choose to believe them. I'll wait for some actual concrete proof. The Danish person had a "paperwork miscommunication"? Weird you forgot to mention this part also:

Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Newsweek: "Kasper Eriksen, a Danish national, is in our country illegally. He failed to show up for his immigration hearing on April 2, 2019. He has a final order of removal from an immigration judge. This administration is not going to ignore the rule of law."

Sure thing. You can sort through them by name. But, unfortunately, the government has not released a list of names sent to that prison. So what "proof" would you like, specifically? The government is not even acknowledging who is there.

They have stated that they were not informed of any issue (which all stems from a single missed document in 2014), which seems to be backed by a history of continuing to check in for the last 11 years and going through the steps for citizenship, even post 2019.

But, sure you can believe Tricia McLaughlin if you choose to believe her. Can't fix stupid.

So you are taking someone in jails word now? Got it. Let's just ask anyone detained if they are innocent. Let me know what you find out LOL.

And now you are resorting to insults? I guess when you know you're wrong, it's what you do. Thanks for admitting the L in your own special way.

Also, just because you didn't read the links you posted, don't get upset when it's thrown back in your face.
