Draft this year is July 13 & 14.

I’m on vacation at my sister’s in NH for the next month, so I won’t be able to monitor/report on the draft. However, here’s the link to the main page. I’m sure they’ll post a separate draft results link a day or two before. Feel free to post comments on this thread.

New Hampshire is a beautiful state. My wife & I have spent time in Lincoln and also at Lake Winnipsaukee. Enjoy!

Jordan Yost 1st Round pick. High school shortstops are going like hotcakes.

SS Jordan Yost taken with the 24th pick of the 1st round by Detroit. Good for him, bad for us.

3.73 million approx. pick value. I can't imagine him getting a NIL deal worth that.

You know what they say about assumptions—instead of falling into that trap I will just ask—I know that MLB draft bonuses are definitely subject to tax laws. I would expect there have been changes since Alan when through the draft but first round money was taxed HARD.

I can only assume that NIL$$$ is subject to the same tax laws?

Orioles take Bodine & Aloy at 30/31.. I like Bodine pick,,still say Aloy vastly overrated..see SEC only stats.

Os have used 7 catchers this year so far b/c of injuries.. I guess thye are loading up on Cs in response..lol Not that I think Ike will ever play C at MLB level.. OF/1B

I don't follow the MLB Draft much, but Detroit took a HS SS in the 1st round last year too. Isn't that odd?

Not really. High school short stops are usually the best players on the team and can play almost any position well.

Jeez, the first Gator picked in the draft is 6th round, #166 overall. And to the White Sox no less! Pretty grim. When I spoke with scouts at the Park two years ago they projected Colby as a late 2nd round or 3rd round pick - so a big drop off.

Would love to see Shelton, Heyman & Clemente come back. They're not going to get much of a signing bonus getting drafted this late, Shelton being the most with his slot value around $400,000.
