Yep - The guy is a phenomenal athlete. But he's got to watch some film and figure out what he's doing wrong at the plate. Pitchers have seen a weakness they're exploiting and he hasn't made the adjustment - yet.

Yeah, I really feel for Jac, this learning curve was steeper than any of us saw coming, but he has raw talent and just needs to work through it. It might mean a demotion back to AAA, because at some point he needs to get some production and keep his confidence. But hopefully, he will have a good series coming up and change this negative momentum.

    Right here
Cags has homered in both of the last two games, with last night’s bomb being the longest by a Royals rookie.

MLB on X: "466 FEET! Absolutely crushed by Jac Caglianone https://t.co/XnBCIDqKvR" / X

That is the kind of bomb that should be one of the first things you see after Googling "no doubter".

He just looks overmatched right now in MLB. Certainly not the first rookie to start horribly. Not sure how much longer he will stay in KC before they send him back down to Omaha.

may be a great athlete, but also learning RF may be complicating things for him. Would love to see him DH for a few games and just focus on his hitting

Just handed Pete Alonso a double where he eventually scored. Cags displayed the ball in RF. Kauffman Stadium is a tough OF to play.

There are other regular players around MLB with numbers similar to or worse than Cags who have far less potential, including some KC teammates. Royals brought Cags up to develop against the toughest level of pitching, which he seems to be doing. I think he might see more AAA time, but the team will give him a lot of slack. Demoting a player isn't punishment for a player with poor stats. It's an effort to find ways to win. Who do they have in their system to replace him?
