I genuinely don't understand the point of this article. Are they advocating that Democrats should have tried to hide Biden instead of having him do any debates?

If anything, this harms the narrative that the Biden's team thought he was mentally incapable of being president since they not only wanted him to debate, but to participate in two debates, and do a bunch of media appearances as well.

They almost wrote the article as if the memo says "we have to hide Biden because he's drooling idiot at this point" when the memo contains the exact opposite.

In summary, a "bombshell" memo that amounts to nothing more than "we think you should do media appearances and debate Trump before people start voting."

Overall, 0/10 - trash article from "The Blaze!"

That's good form to give people a warning on that - nobody wants to click on that chit.

Looking forward to a really productive, insightful thread here.

Bill - This memo has been written about extensively in the three books that have come out about the election. The Biden Campaign felt the race was getting static and they wanted an event to draw a contrast between the two of them. It ended up backfiring on them.

In my opinion the need to hold the debate early was pushed by Pelosi and probably Schumer to give them time to find a replacement for Biden if he failed badly in the debate. I don't think they anticipated Harris rallying the delegates behind her as quickly as she did.

The worst political advice wasn't Biden's decision to debate Trump in June as the article implies, it was the decision he made the year before to run for reelection in the first place probably as the result of persuasion from Jill and his close advisors. When Biden ran in 2020 he implied that he would serve a single term and would be the bridge to a new generation. Sadly for both himself and the Democratic party he, his close advisors and his wife were so intoxicated by the power and prestige of the office that they denied reality.

Biden had an exceptionally strong SOTU presentation so his advisors were probably banking on him doing it again in the debate. It’s been noted Biden was ill, over-prepped, and overworked, so if true his handlers screwed up there. The debate exposed the truth about Biden not being up to the job with age being a factor, but probably not being the deciding factor in the election. After all Trump had a disastrous performance against Harris and it didn’t hurt him very much.

Which, I think is Bill’s point — one of the worst pieces of political campaign advice ever. The single worse, regarding Biden, is his decision to run again. It destroyed his legacy, and perhaps even his Party.

Perhaps if Biden had talked about Haitians eating cats and dogs then he would still be POTUS

The worst political advice was the people that helped Obama’s joke writing at the correspondence dinner.

The thing I was pointing out is that this memo has been known about for a while. It was covered in all three books about the election. It's not a "bombshell" that we have not known about.

    Lol! Bro...he DIDN'T run again.

That was sKamala, riding --check that--running away from-- his disastrous legacy.

She tried--ONE BILLION DOLLARS raised! But simply could not out run the radio active radius of abject skank, contaminated by the Chicom puppet party's Manchurian candidacy.

'Murica said hell to the hell no thank you to more of that horseshit!

Before that disastrous debate by Biden, he was still running. And I don't think it would have mattered which one of Biden or Kamala ran... same outcome.

I think he did better with the SOTU due to extra meds and maybe a couple bennies. It’s also possible that he just was having a better day than usual during his decline.

Not really, you just think it did.

He got himself a $3 trillion+ deficit-funded tax cut, and he's maybe going to deport 1 million illegal immigrants over his term, at a cost of $50 - 100,000 per person.

If you think that worked out well for you, then you should probably reevaluate your priorities. I guess he did get that trans college swimmer to be disqualified somewhere, or something like that. That really affects our lives greatly, doesn't it?

While he didn't run again keep in mind that he also didn't make the announcement that he would be a one-term president in 2023, it only happened after he embarrassed himself in the debate with Trump and even then it didn't happen until he was pressured to do so by the leadership of the party, specifically Pelosi and Schumer as well as probably dozens of members of Congress. If Biden announced that he wasn't running with enough time for the nomination of his successor through a fair and open primary process the results may have been different.

Calling her skank apparently because she had an affair with Willie Brown when she was single is really rich while supporting a guy who had an affair with the woman who became his second wife while still married to his first and then having an affair with the woman who became his third wife while still married to wife number and to top matters off had a year-long affair with a Playmate while married to wife number three and a one-night stand with a porn star shortly after wife number three gave birth to their son. And if any politician is a Chicom puppet despite his anti-Chinese rhetoric it's guy who was ultimately elected. Xi supported Trump because the Donald is easy to manipulate and his decision is already paying off considering that China's lead in EVs and battery technology is turning into absolute domination thanks to Trump's desire to turn the clock back 50 years.
How Republican E.V. Cuts Could Put U.S. Carmakers Behind
From early in last year's campaign (the article was written when Biden was still the presumptive Democratic nominee)
Why China Is Rooting for Trump

Comparing the two campaigns as well as funds raised by the parties it may appear that Harris outraised Trump. Adding in the dark money that raised through SuperPacs Trump raised considerably more than did Harris.
