These are my picks: DJ Lagway, Kadarious Toney (ha!), Dallas Wilson, Tre Wilson, Ja'Kobi Jackson, Cormani McClain, George Gumbs, Miles Graham. There are others who could be considered. Who do you think will have a breakout season? Five Florida Gators that could breakout in 2025 | GatorCountry.com
It would be great to see multiple players have breakout seasons, like: several of the OL, DL, KD Daniels, Aaron Chiles, and Aaron Gates or whoever plays star. And if two wr's really step up, the Gators could have other wr's who have great seasons as well!
We need some breakouts because we dont have a ton of projected first day picks. Hopefully a thats a different story after next year.
Generically speaking, I choose a couple of O-linemen. PLEASE! Oh, and Chiles and Graham would be nice additions also. I haven't seen real MLB play in a while. They fit the mold.
Sleeper: LB Myles Graham We saw what Graham was capable of as a freshman for the Gators with 30 tackles. He also had three tackles for loss, one sack, an interception and a forced fumble. With a line that should only be stronger in front of him, along with playing next to Grayson Howard, Graham has the potential to take another step in 2025. The great Florida teams of the 21st century have all had good linebacker play, and it feels like Graham could play that part for this team as it looks to rise again. -- Lyles Jr.
Yep. Myles Graham. If he stays injury free, it is a SLAM DUNK that he leads the defense this season. At last season's end, after continually progressing each game, not only was he one of the better players on the field, but also emerging as a leader.
Yes, if we have at least nine wins in 2025, recruits will perceive that the Gators are a winning program, again. Go Gators!!!
It looked pretty decent against lsu, oke miss and the bowl. Imagine DJ throwing like Trask with legs and our defense taking another step forward. Game management is so much easier when your team is whipping them on the field. Its hard to draw up a play to make your team more talented.
I recall Shane Matthews saying that he thought BN's playcalling was overall very good! The problem, as he saw it, was execution. I believe he's mostly right. Here's where I disagree. Time management is an enormous issue. It takes too long to call plays into the QB. Plays need to get in quicker and enough time on the clock for DJ to read the defense. I think BN's mindset is ALL about ball control, using up clock, and winning--even if it is only by a point or two. The Tennessee game in 2024 is a perfect example. That game wasn't lost by the players. It was all on coaching! This year, BN needs to show his gambling mantra in action. This is the most talented team BN has assembled. He cannot afford to come out slow. If he is going to see success, he needs to vary the tempo. I think there should be two plays called in the huddle at times, where the second play happens faster. BN must show aggressiveness by letting the best players be on the field. It's time to put up or shutup! I believe some players will have breakout seasons if coaching improves!
I watch Shane almost everyday and he has consistently said what you post - Shane has never been big on hiring an offensive coordinator - having said that doc, I agree you are right on, time management, crippling penalties, special teams blunders ............. GOTTA get that cleaned up this year. I have drunk the O&B Koolaide about talent, it may not be UGA / BAMA in terms of depth, but the first team units are right there IMO. I like Billy, he is a good man, a good recruiter and could potentially be a GREAT recruiter if he can show kids UF can get it done on the field. Win 10 games this year and I bet the 5 stars / top 100 kids begin to don Gator caps when they announce. UF is close, it's year 4 and I could not agree more, the Gators have the QB, facilities, the support of the administration, NIL seems to be in a decent place and UF is smack dab in the middle of the richest recruiting grounds in the country. It's time!!!!!
