I don’t think he’s going to be able to recoup whatever status he had with Dems prior to his COVID meltdown and hard swing to right wing cuckold.

It will be interesting to see if he takes more votes away from the libbies or the fascists.

Sounds great! But the 2 parties are entrenched and have already made it very difficult in various states for a third party to get started.

    I am
More familiar with the right side centrist and there used them as examples
I’d also be happy with centrist from the left side I’m just not as familiar. I believe Shapiro would be one example?
It’s weird to me that your post and absolutely a few others on where are basically saying there are no centrists democrats.
    All
I called for for was a group from both sides of the aisle coming together, finding common ground and making a third party. It will not be “perfect” for either side but it will be bettter than the clown show both sides have given us.
    No Trump
    No more MtG
    No more AOC
    No more Pelosi

Statt from a middle America stance and give the people a real choice. Not
Vote for this moron or that moron ( as long as both morons keep said group in power).
And for the record.. I’m conservative… not a republican and I’ve held that stance for decades. I think both political parties are innit and have been in it for themselves, not the people they supposedly represent, for decades. Too much money and too much power. They all suck.

    Right here
I like them, but they don’t seem to be making much of a splash unfortunately.

Edit: I guess they have actually been making progress in the background and are now a fully fledged party in Florida, where one can even register as a … um, Forwardian? Anyway, maybe I am underselling their potential.

As I posted here last year:

"Going forward what will happen with Elon?
    1) As I said on Twitter in 2021 Musk needs to reform our Healthcare system and big gov't letting Milton Friedman be his guide. Now Musk is reforming our gov't and posting videos and statements from Friedman.

    2) Musk will call for decreasing licensure requirements to help spread income to the middle class and below. He'll figure it out.

    3) Online education will become free with better accreditation

    4) Musk will realize that he needs to form a 3rd political party. All members will pledge to enact the party platform. They will sign a blood oath of allegiance and if they detour from the party platform without permission from Elon they will face execution by the American people (per the blood oath they sign). That's how you get stuff done."

Is it the poster that can shoot a 58 from the tips using a 7-iron only, swinging with the clubface in his hands?

If there are then two of them are a meaningless distinction since they vote in lockstep with each other.

Shapiro has a reasonable shot at the Democratic nomination. That is kind of my point. Democrats have been nominating from their moderate wing. The issue is that there seems to be little actual desire for moderates.

My post literally says the opposite of that. My post points out that they have nominated people from that wing continually. But many of the people claiming to want that haven't been voting for them.

Democrats haven't been running AOC for President. Or Pelosi. Instead, they are running centrists. So have you voted for them?

Political parties exist to gain power. So will this one. That is the reason for their existence. Been true since the concept was invented. Musk is not some benevolent figure coming to save us.

You think Biden was a centrists? Hillary?
I voted for the conservatives that were most centrists - yes. . I did not vote for Donald Trump either time. Did I get what I wanted .. no. Did you vote for Biden and Hillary?
So you believe that most in America do not want a centrist party. That’s cool. I disagree. I think right now most in America are so ingrained in their tribalism my team
Has to win the other team is pure evil mantra that centrists candidates are seen as absolute wasted votes. This.. no traction. Having a third party made up of the dems and repubs from both sides tired of the far left and far right , truly willing to work both sides of the aisle for the good of America will take time, effort and money but may .. in the long run.. gain enough traction to make a difference.

Gerald Celente has been called the "modern day Nostradamus." My friend Arnaud de Borchgrave wrote a column years ago which mentioned some of his predictions. In December 2008 I emailed him a suggestion for his Top 10 Trends of 2009 list which was to come out in January. His assistant Mr West emailed back that my idea would be on his desk and waiting for him Monday morning. Turned out Celemte already had his top 10 trends lost but he added my trend, so for 2009 his list has 11 trends.

Yep. Biden was always from the Moderate/Centrist wing. Look at all of his primary campaigns. It wasn't at all controversial to think of him as a moderate candidate in 1988, 2008, or 2020 primaries. Same with Hillary (whose politics are basically indistinguishable from her husband's despite the demographic panic that she caused amongst some people). There is a reason that Bernie campaigned from the left against both of them.

So why do you think that you perceive them as "far left?"

So what centrist conservative candidates were there in the general election then? And yes, I did.

The problem: the Democrats haven't been running the far left. But you think they have been. So you didn't vote for them. Is that because of tribalism or the thought that any Democrat is pure evil at worst, to use your words, or, at least far left?

When someone is a far right wing nut, everything looks "left" to them. There are people on here who call Fox News "liberal trash" ...

He may have campaigned as a moderate, but his presidency was a far left wing mess.
