We'll need for the full effects of his Big Bill to be felt by his supporters, followed by a mid-term election. Like when Trumpers go to use their Medicaid and it isn't there. Or when they get hit by a hurricane and FEMA has been dismantled. Or when people can't get their Social Security because there aren't enough staffers to help them. Or when plane crashes become regular events without a properly staffed group of air traffic controllers. Watching the national debt skyrocket will not help him either. Unemployment could also be a serious issue for him, based on the recent downward trend. He can attack any of these issues on his own by telling lies, but he can't attack all of them at the same time with lies, or the ignorant masses might see him as . . . a liar. Social Security and Medicaid are, by themselves, more than enough to be Trump's undoing.

Trump inherited a pretty good economy from Biden, but he's trashing it. Americans are a fairly ignorant lot, but even they can see the damage that Trump is doing to the economy. Trump's delusional supporters are in the minority, but do not seem to know it.

And here I thought that saying somebody hated somebody was the same as calling them a "hater." It is very surprising that some people are allowed to "call others haters." Perks of having your own set of rules, I guess.

A (slightly) larger tax refund is a poor consolation prize when:

    a) you've lost your job.

    b) inflation eats up a much greater percentage of your income than before.

    c) you can't afford basic medical care.

    d) you're dealing with a flood (or hurricane, or tornado) and there is no help on the way.

Yes, poor people are often somewhat dumb, but they wise up quickly after they realize they've been robbed.

You sound a lot like Obama when he tried to make fun of Trump policy by condescendingly asking if Trump had a magic wand, only to be 100% wrong. You also sound like Biden when a year ago he said “I’ve done all I can do” about immigration, only to see Trump close the border in 30 days. But hey. If that works for you keep it up

“What magic wand do you have?” – Ways and Means

Joe Biden says he's done all he can do about U.S.-Mexico border

Visualizing the plunge in border crossings under Trump

this RR quote seems to fit you well

The trouble with our Liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so

Haha. Trump's magic wand produced $3 trillion in additional debt during a time there was no pandemic (2017-2019) and when we were not at war. And that was when he had capable advisors from the republican party, not Fox News hosts kissing his ass 24/7. And he built 54 miles of fencing (not wall) at the 1954-mile-long Mexican border. And once the pandemic arrived, he pretty much botched that too. Hell of a magician.

You'll figure it out before he leaves office. You'll probably want to start thinking about a new username, in case you are too ashamed to admit how wrong you were.

lotta projection in that post. You be you man

I’m still waiting for WW3 to start because Trump took out Iranian nuclear sites instead of giving them money. We were assured by the likes of you that was going to happen

Oh yeah. And people are turning against Trump immigration policy….er maybe they aren’t and you keep the media bs again and again. We were assured everyone hates Trump mean policies

I don't recall anyone saying that WW3 could break out because of the attacks on the Iranian nuclear facilities although some of our pro-Russian friends on this board have suggested the upping aid to Ukraine could precipitate WW3.

More winning from Trump's Big Boneheaded Bill. This time, the winner is China. The industry is AI. Trump is cancelling support for U.S. solar energy production, while China increases support for theirs. Why is this important to A.I.? A.I. on a large scale takes a tremendous amount of energy to power all the computers involved. Trump is doubling down on coal (a limited fossil fuel with high pollution as a by-product) as an energy source, while China bets that the sun will still be there a few decades from now. China wins. America loses. Added bonus? Maybe we can kill our tourism industry with all the coal pollution at the same time.

Maybe Trump could throw his weight behind A.S. (artificial stupidity, which does not require as much energy)?

You need to learn the difference between "facts" and "projection". They have different meanings, I assure you. And I do have a lot of facts in my posts, so I apologize if it offends you or confuses you. I never said that WW3 was going to happen as a result of Trump's useless and pointless bombing of a mountain in Iran. Why would it?

Trump is clinging to the technologies and resources of the past for two reasons: that's what he's comfortable with, because he's old, and his Middle Eastern buddies might renege on their megajet "donation," and other expressions of their gratitude, if he were to promote alternative energy.

Coal burning is also a facet of an era that Trump greatly admires and would like to see return: the Gilded Era (the 1890's). Trump has said repeatedly that the Gilded Era (when the wealthy were so much wealthier than everyone else) was the greatest period in American history. The Gilded Era is where Trump gets his ideas for tariffs (instituted by Rep./Pres. McKinley), which were used extensively at the time, even though they caused economic disaster.

More from the energy article. Trump's destruction of the U.S. solar industry will remove 344 gigawatts of new power from the U.S. over the next decade. To give you an idea of how much power that is--that's enough to power half the homes in the U.S. today. Maybe Trump can get a few hundred homes powered by coal in the next decade . . .

LOTS OF LOSING RIGHT THERE. TRUMP = LOSER.

Trump is a fool. It's insanely difficult to believe that so many people anyone follows him, believes a word he says, or would cast a vote for him.

We're getting what we voted for and deserve.

One of the tiniest silver linings is that it will be fun to laugh when all his supporters pretend that they didn't like him in 10 years, just like they all do now with the Iraq war.

France honors Trump with a mural of Lady Liberty on a building in Roubaix, the place where the Roubaix Cube was invented. My sources tell me that Trump was upset by this mural because he thought that Lady Liberty should be wearing something a little more revealing.

More energy news from Great Britain. On sunny summer days, they have so much solar power that they have to start turning off some of their solar producers to keep from overloading the grid. I guess England is just wealthier than the United States.

More winning for the Trump administration: measles cases are at a new high since the disease was effectively eradicated a quarter of a century ago. Epic incompetence from Trump and his Secretary of Health RFK, Jr. Nothing says winning like bringing back a serious childhood disease decades after it was eradicated. A great win for the Nostalgia Party. First it was coal, now it's measles.
