I'm sure happy with the kids we've managed to secure. I'm a bit puzzled and unclear why we've missed on so many others though. I hope it isn't simply because of nil $. I guess not really knowing is always somewhat unsettling, I suppose that's the recruiting business-and it happens every year! It's hard to ignore the recruiting prowess of Alabama, Georgia, Texas and LSU. This is an important recruiting week for the Gators. May the good guys prevail. Go Gators.
Everyone has missed on someone they wanted. Texass thought they had Ojo in the bag, nope, TT offers a crazy amount of money. UGA lost two to scUM. It is starting to level out among the top 12 to 15. At least I don't believe the gap is as wide.
No doubt, some of these teams have some serious jack... Yeah, for all the $ these guys are tossing around, last year we'd a beaten Georgia if DJ hadn't a gone down. We did beat LSU, of course at home. Texas was the only real debacle IMHO. Of course, Miami, but they don't count. For top tier SEC teams...it might all be getting pretty even. Then toss in home field advantage. I'm still waiting to see if the Texas QB is really an all-world kid. Based on a decent sampling of DJ, I would have to say he is in the picture!! I still think UF isn't getting some deserved love. It won't be long now. Go Gators.
Correct me if I am wrong but I understand UF may be considered the favorite for all of these players, or at least three of the four. Pretty good haul if that is true and getting three may just vault the Gators into the top 10.
Are NILs paying out the kind of money we believe is promised when they sign with a school? It's hard for me to picture promising most players a large amount of per year money and it be paid out most of the time. But maybe it is. If NIL organizations were not paying as promised, we would hear about it right? Still hard to believe this is the system that flew once the courts forced made it impossible not to offer money openly.
If it were run like a true business, it would be different. These crazy boosters dont care what the financial bottom line is, they are just bidding on talent with no regard for profit.
This is one I'm fine either way....he's talented and I think can play. But weight is a concern and if he goes elsewhere its likely he was way overpriced
