Wow, Grossman is all in on Lagway, and he has a great suggestion for the offense this fall!!! https://247sports.com/college/flori...man-dj-lagway-billy-napier-offense-251257295/
Rex has always been one of my all-time favorite Gator QBs and I think he was underrated as a college and pro quarterback. He got a lot of flack playing on a poorly coached and ran Bears team for one of the harshest fan bases in the NFL. He seems like a great dude. I agree with his assessment of DJ, if he can stay upright he could do great things at UF.
How about a qb who is not only made of glass, but who also decides he's gonna take a break after driving into the redzone? Better give him a bunch of millions because he can jump real high when he isn't injured.
Maybe someone who prtected his fragility for millions. Everyone cabt play like Timmy and stay on the field. Durability is always key.
I'm not concerned about Lagway, however I am concerned about building an offensive scheme that will allow him to flourish.
Real tough guys sometime have to play through injuries and still find a way to win. In that regard, there is absolutely nothing "fragile" about DJ Lagway.
This fall, there will be too many weapons, and Dallas Wilson will be one that DJ can throw to. If the offense is unrestrained, it will score often! The Florida Gators have the next Jeremiah Smith on their roster
He damn sure has the will. He also played through two separate injuries, one that may have been from hs and possibly had a minor surgery?
I think DJ was one of the top guys in the nation for throwing deep passes and that's not really gonna be an issue. I wouldn't think.
The franchise destroys QBs, but the fans loved Sexy Rexy. I mean he got us to the Suberbowl. There will be no more beloved player in the history of the NFL than the first truly great Bears QB, we litterly have never had one.
