The first case in which the jury awarded Carroll $5 million is over. The second case in which she was awarded $83.8 million is still on appeal. While it's possible that the appellate court could reduce the amount of damages it's extremely unlikely that they will overturn the verdict itself.

Two things…first, really bad look for 60 Minutes and second, thank goodness Kamala Harris is not our President.

If 60 Minutes would have released the unedited video of the interview promptly they wouldn't have lost this case. Instead they tried to hide it.

They did not lose a case. There never was a court proceeding. They gave money to the President because he threatened their merger unless they agreed to give him money.

Wrong, they gave the money to avoid further disclosure hearings leading to more illegality.

Semantics, if you think paying $30 million isn't losing then that's fine with me.

Time will tell, but I think the judge was a useful rogue decision maker and E. Jean Carroll a political opportunist out for money.

He wins so much every single one of his “election fraud” cases, save one that was won in a technicality, were thrown out. Not to mention all the court cases he won to avoid being a 34 count felon. Oh wait. So much winning! When are you going to stop shilling for this man? It’s embarrassing at this point.

Accuracy, not semantics. Regardless, any thoughts on how Trump used his position to threaten a private company's business actions if they didn't give him money?

Never, but it's not shilling. It's supporting the best US president in our lifetimes and that includes Ronald Reagan whom I've reluctantly moved down a bit, more like 1A Trump and 1B Reagan.

This is what news outlets do. They edit ALL interviews. trump's has been edited too and if you don't think so, I've got so high and dry swampland for you.

This was extortion plain and simple. Just like all of his frivolous lawsuits his entire life. They at least didn't admit guilt or apologize in any way.

$30 million is a drop in the bucket for CBS. This is basically their way of telling Trump to go away and stop wasting our time.

Literally a day ago. Time for Harris to sue Fox News! There’s also the blatant editing they did when asked if he would declassify the Epstein files, but the right is okay with that because it’s their guy and it’s fine if he does it.

$16M? Less than expected, they got off easy. Just the POTUS strong-arming them.

That's the front end down payment. There is still $14 to $15 million to go.
