CBS/Paramount has agreed to settle with Donald Trump in the amount of $30 million with $16 million being paid upfront:

Winning: Paramount Agrees to $16 Million Settlement in Trump Lawsuit Against CBS

In this article, you can watch the unedited video of the Kamala Harris interview that prompted this lawsuit.

ABC settled with Donald Trump for a similar amount.

Both ABC and CBS were willing to pay the money to Trump rather subject themselves to disclosure which would likely lead to for worse wrongdoing. Both are leading members of what I call the lamestream media. They have a far-left bias and are liars.

Shameful, the way a sitting POTUS abuses the power of the office to go after enemies and illegally attack the media. I can't believe people capitulate to this criminality.

A more accurate title of this thread would be "Trump uses the power of the presidency to extort a media outlet". Paramount Global the parent company of CBS is involved in a megamerger with Skydance Media. Trump through the Antitrust Division of the DOJ, the FTC and the FCC has the power to make things very difficult for Paramount. Settlement of the lawsuit was the easy way out. The $16 million that the network will be paying to Trump is probably less than the legal fees that it would have incurred had it decided to litigate not to mention the legal fees that it would have incurred if Trump tried to block the merger.

Well I guess he can use all that newly won money to pay his settlement in the sexual assault case against E. Jean Carroll.

LOL! Exactly like you not to know these lawsuits were filed before the November presidential election. Candidate Trump didn't sit idly by when both ABC and CBS put their thumbs on the election scale in favor of Vice President Kamala Harris. There should have been an extra zero on both of those settlements.

I don't think so. Not even the power of the presidency can protect him from a civil judgment based on his personal behavior when he was out of office.

that one cracks me up. Everyone on here can remember exactly where they were when doering caught that TD vs Kentucky, yet this woman suffered sexual assault that traumatized her for life and she can’t recall the month nor even the time of year . Hey E Jean, was it winter or summer ? “ I don’t recall”. Suuuure

With Trump racking up settlements, he'll have the lamestream paying for his presidential library plus E. Jean Carroll although I don't think she will receive a penny.

The name of the thread is Trump Always Winning.

I can see your stance, and I also had that stance, but sadly mine changed... It is more than possible to not remember certain details like that, the trauma the PTSD of it it can all play tricks on a person mind. Like I said, I also once had your same view on this, until it happened sadly to my daughter, and you see it happen up close and personal, even a couple of years later, to now, the mind tries to protect her, and details that you would think are forever seared in her head are hazzy at best..
I won't sit her and say that same thing is what happened with E. Jean, I'm just saying it is possible to not remember all the details...

Apparently the jury found that those statements didn't affect her credibility. They found that she was credible based on the totality of her testimony. Trump claimed that she wasn't his type. This is her back at the time of the alleged assault.

Dresses like a slut who would have definitely been recruited for democratic lawfare against Trump for a big close to end of life paycheck. Just curious, where was the venue for the trial?

EDIT: Never mind, it was a single judge in the Southern District of New York. The venue should have never been in New York, a hot bed for lawfare against Trump.

The trial(s) are under appeal. Trump will win on the merits of the case before all is said and done. LOL! A convicted rapist as attributed to a democratic hand-picked rogue judge.

Boy, you sure have had to develop a whole list of excuses for somebody who is "always winning." Some interesting psychological explanations, for sure.

Although the venue was in New York Trump's attorneys still had the right to challenge biased jurors for cause well as to use peremptory challenges and she obviously wasn't dressed like that when he attacked her not that it would have made any difference the point of the photo was to rebut Trump's statement that she wasn't his type. By the way the basis for the lawsuits wasn't for the alleged sexual assault they were both for defamation. After Trump lost the original lawsuit he continued to defame Carroll.

Since this is now okay, when can we sue Fox News for their blatant edits of multiple Trump interviews, including the one where he said he would release the Epstein Files?
