I encourage everyone to listen/watch this podcast. Case in point on why Trump spent 4 hours and flourished…..and Kamala was a no show. Bernie humiliated himself. You can’t be fake with Rogan. He’s a pro and will pull answers out of you.

If you listen to the entire interview and not snippets you'd have a completely different opinion of this interview. Sanders was a million times more coherent than either Biden or Trump at this point.

And I'm not a huge Bernie fan, I just respect his consistency

I listen to all Rogan podcasts. Spend a lot of time in the car.

i agree with your assessment on Bernie consistency. Bernie has indeed been the same loon since his honeymoon in Russia. My point was Bernie was unable to back up any of his looney takes when required to explain them in more detail and not just stand up on a stage and say Free. Hence why I referenced doing multi hours with a pro

Yeah, the thing is you get a completely different impression of the interview depending on what is in your feed. Rogan isnt even a tough interview, he mainly just lets you say whatever you want and ends up agreeing with all his guests or not really pushing them hard. Its a podcast for dumb guys who want to feel smart.

I watched it and thought it was a pretty good discussion. Unlike many politicians/lawyers, Bernie speaks in normal language, concedes points when he needs to, and doesn't claim to have all the answers. I think Rogan still agrees quite a bit with Bernie, but he did push back about whether Trump might have a valid basis to be filing lawsuits against the media.

So you listened to that podcast and your takeaway was the Bernie "humiliated himself?" He rolled with Rogan for 2 hours and, as Rogan does, Rogan agreed with almost everything Bernie said.

I listened to the podcast and got the complete opposite impression. So I was curious how much of an edited hit piece your YouTube clip was so I just threw the podcast back on while I'm sitting here doing office work, to see the first clip I could recognize from your outtake. Rogan and Bernie were talking about why polls have been wrong lately and Bernie said "I don't know the answer to your question." And that made it on your reel of Bernie humiliating himself...

    .

or course that’s your midwit take. Anyone not in your silo is deemed a mouth breather who lacks understanding of the intricate nuances of whatever your groupthink du jour’.

Rogan was a lot better in the earlier days of his podcast when he came off as intellectually curious and didn’t pander to a political base or ideology. Nowadays he’s full on right wing podcast bro grifter.

There isn't one person on this earth that I'd want to sit down and listen to for 3 or 4 hours

OK, but I get on some true burners. I once spoke for like 200 consecutive minutes, and neither Bronie nor Brogan disagreed.

    Feeling strong about my chances.

    Where you at right now?

I did a quick search of Bernie/Rogan and got a bunch of right-wing sites saying what you are saying, meanwhile everyone who has listened to the interview here or is even remotely familiar with Rogan is like "he tends to agree with his guests." This isnt even the first time Bernie has been on, and in the previous one he mostly agreed with all the stuff he says too lol. In 2020 people on the left were using it as evidence of how Bernie could win! So, I wonder who is experiencing "groupthink" here. Personally, I dont understand how anyone can listen to a long form interview for like 2+ hours, even in a long ass commute. I couldnt even hang with WTF unless the guest really interested me.

For the most part I’d agree with WPB. People get on there and say all kinds of shit. Some of it legit, a lot of it nonsense. It’s never questioned to a significant degree and all treated with an oh that’s interesting attitude. Guests on there frequently discuss in great detail things they really have no expertise in. It’s like a couple of dumb dudes just spitballing their stream of consciousness

    I recommend you
get out of your echo chamber a bit. it’s tough - always annoying to read stuff you don’t agree with. But it’s good for you.

edit- and avoid twitter. I think people lie and obfuscate there more than any social media outside of maybe TikTok

I listened as well. My take was Bernie didn’t have the details on “how”. That was what Rogan kept pressing. It was a lot of Bernie’s “best of” talking points (no different than Trump). Rogan is a crafty interviewer — he can draw someone in with tap jabs and take them off their guard with a weak undercut.

Imo, the only thing Bernie didn't have a good answer on was how to deal with AI in the workforce. Which frankly, I don't think anyone has answers on. And he readily admitted it's a very complex problem he doesn't know the answer to.
