More info on the Friday attack on a Russian airfield where two Su-34 planes were destroyed. This was the base where other Russian planes flee to when their bases are under attack. It was supposed to be a safe zone for Russian military aircraft. Russia uses the Su-34 to launch glide bombs, which are one of the few weapons that are effective against Ukraine's army.

Hopefully, this pilot will be given another plane so he can demonstrate proper landing technique . . . and then another one after he crashes that one.

Russia has been trying to push through 50,000 troops through Sumy at Ukraine's northern border to try to make a breakthrough, but Ukraine is holding them at bay. Both sides are using a lot of special forces.

Not really surprised. The Donald is still Vladimir's bitch despite his occasional statements to the contrary. Said it before his actions or lack thereof speak much louder than his words. If Trump is really serious about forcing Russia to the negotiating table he would have long increased aid to Ukraine as well increasing economic sanctions on Russia.

This is more Bridge Coby. His concern is making sure we are ready to go if China decides to invade in '27. That would mean we would only have the stocks that we currently have and can manufacture in the next 18 months. I think we went through a decent amount of rounds during the 12 Day War and back in October. It is part of the reason the Trump Admin was pushing so hard for a settlement to the Ukrainian conflict. I think the Ukrainians are starting to be able to source a lot of the things they need from non-US sources, like their new internally developed cruise missile, then they will be able to stay in this war. The Patriot AD System is a high demand low density asset and I'm not sure we can keep up the same level of resupply as we had with 2027 getting closer. We just need to keep providing Intel and Logistics support to the AFU.

I think this is the same reason why Trump is pressuring Israel to end the war in Gaza when Hamas is not entirely defeated. Time to get US munitions and assets out of the Middle East and over to PACOM.

 

This is a believable theory, but it just seems like continued weakness.

It's just poor planning. NATO has been supporting the AFU for three years in a high intensity conflict when our defense industrial base has not been told to get on a war time footing. That is something the Biden Admin should have done.

You might want to do some research on Anton Gerashchenko. Don't know much about him myself but I've seen Ukrainians on X calling him a [Stepan] Bandera lover, a national socialist, a associate of the Azov battalion and other battalions set up to oppress the Russian-speaking majority in the Donbas.
