That's kind of the point. Forecasting is difficult and imperfect as is. We should be discussing how that will be improved - not degrading the accuracy of those forecasts.

Sometimes more frequent data points don’t help do that.

Yet it’s being portrayed as the end of the world and nobody will survive not getting 3 hour updates.
Amazing we lived through Hurricanes before we had 24 coverage of them from the time they were a low level circulation.
