It is the newest engineering building on the south side of the Reitz Union.

Definitely an architectural deviation from the classical red brick of many UF buildings.

Boosters pay a lot of the costs in college. That being said, if he can't figure out why championship level d1 ball costs more than hs ball, I'm not sure there's much we can do to help him. Our travel budget likely dwarfs the budget of a lot of entire hs athletic depts.

A lot of the top softball players don't even play for their hs's. They play travel ball exclusively.

I spoke with some of the higher ups within engineering - each one of those panels is allegedly supposed to be what a computer chip/CPU looks like under a microscope

Engineering is flush with money as they have built SEVERAL new state of the art buildings within the last 10 years.

I get it but the title ix crap that forces one sport to pay for anther is my issue. They can spend 100 mil on softball for all i care as long as its their money.

Id rather have those players than a nice bathroom and food if that option is on the table.

Hey, if we double the $500 Million (in however many years that would take) we could then renovate the whole stadium... and keep 88K+ seating too. :D:)

I think the product on the field is by far the most important aspect. You can sell me 52-20 and charge me whatever you want but im not paying 3k again for that Miami asswhoopin i bought last year.

Even the addition being built on my beloved architecture building has brick on it. I guess they are going to have to find another home for that temporary toilet trailer they put out during football games though.

Many people here seem to think these funds to renovate and to "buy players" are interchangeable. I don't know about that.

Probably not but they are what makes the final product. Tv doesnt care about our comfort, only if we are a too ten team and worthy of prime time. Im not watching a bad product either. Give me a good product and comfort falls to the wayside. I mean , if i lived within a vouple hour drive, id have season tix but tix are cheap compared to travel.

I just want The Swamp to be one of the loudest stadiums in the nation. But renovations are needed... I guess. It seems that keeping the seating capacity is NOT an option.... unless they do real renovations with actual concrete construction. But there seems to be a lack of funds ($1 billion?) and room in which to add that new seating.

But we shall see. I just want a pressure washing and a coat of white paint. ;)

Respectfully, I don’t care what any opponent says. Never have. And other than you and a handful I respect, I disregard 50% even of the pay site…which is why I am here. Freeloading. Lol

I want to get players over bama, Georgia, texas, and Lsu but i dont see that happening either. Then we talk of firing our coach if he cant beat them. Id hate to be Napier except for the part where im filthy rich.

I've been on the pay side... tough crowd over there. I know the renovations will be awesome once they're done. I just hope they are kind to the seating capacity. :D:)
