Trump- “We have a buyer for TikTok

It is worth noting that we are allowing a totalitarian communist regime to write a social media algorithm that chooses the social media content consumed by our youth. This is a totalitarian regime that is also killing Americans through smuggling fentanyl into our country. A hostile regime in a state of cold war against our country should not have such massive control over an algorithm that chooses what the youth sees and does not see. That is a big problem:

While Bytedance is careful to socially engineer positive outcomes for its country’s own kids, it’s equally capable of devising negative outcomes in rival nations — which is precisely why experts have dubbed TikTok “a dagger pointed at the heart of the United States.”​

China is hurting US kids with TikTok, but protecting its own

Say what you want, but the algorithm was a form of warfare against our country. If Trump twisted China's arm to change the algorithm, then that might be a good thing.

 

By "we" you mean Donald Trump, of course.

Based on his past behavior and criminality, we can be close to certain he's allowing this either because they're bribing him or they're manipulating the algorithm in his favor.

 

I simply mean our country is allowing it, and there are several people who have been involved in allowing it including DJT. Trump is trying to negotiate a deal where a Chinese company sells it to a US company. So, he either needs to get the deal done or kick Tik Tok out of the US.

 

They've had a buyer for awhile, so not really news. China has been holding signing off as leverage.

 

I'm sure he'll get a favorable check for it. Like everything. Don't like TicTok. Enter check. Likes TicTok!!!

This is a prime example of the issue we have as a country when it comes to trump and anything he does. Supporters trust him explicitly, while everyone else can't trust them as far as we could spit him.

Facebook used to vet their posts and remove misinformation, since trump was "elected", they have eliminated that, so yeah, there is skepticism with any deal trump says is in the works to buy one of the last freedom of speech apps out there. If he's involved, we lose.

 

Well, that's a positive spin on it. Or there is the simple fact he doesn't care. The big investor here in the states already wrote a sizable check and more are certainly to come. It's hilarious how you try to have it both ways (CCP trojan horsing your kid's brains/"might be a good thing") and still accuse people of TDS. LOL!

I never trusted TicTok. Put the two together and do the math, not forgetting to factor in that he was the originator of the TicTok ban.
