Who is the opposition to winning? You do realize that when the President wins we all win right? We all want a stronger, safer country. Logic like yours is why we are so divided. Can't we all celebrate a victory or is that not allowed. Some of you would rather us go 2-10.

 

Move those goal posts! First you want to attack over the false narrative I don’t like America winning!
Well once that gets proven wrong now you want to attack over the fact that I don’t like people crowing or bragging about winning.
Don’t act like it isn’t the right beating their chest indecent of the left. And when it’s reversed it will be the left beating their chest in front of the right.
It has zero to do with American pride and you know it. It’s just point scoring for the home team and it’s divisive and not helping.

 

I wonder what % of the national debt represents the cost of US subsidizing the “protection” of Europe for the past 80 years.

No signs of U.S. reducing our own military spending anytime soon - even as Europe ramps theirs up, so I’ll go with $0.

I think most of the EU’s actions are in direct response to the ongoing war. Have no issue with them needing to bring much more to the table, and inarguably they should have done this more aggressively after 2014 - not waited for a full scale attempt at invasion on their borders. But the U.S. should not step out or give any cover to Putin either.

I wonder what percentage of the GDP represents the benefit of trading with Europe the past 80 years. Ever hear of a two-way street?

 

Establishing nearly every facet of the global world order allows us to shape .... well almost everything ..... the way we want, and certainly results in favorable economic conditions and increased growth. Which probably pays for the defense expenditures many times over. Plus, we're the ones holding the big military if the stuff hits the fan.

It's kind of like how the Republicans always say to cut taxes and that the growth will pay for the tax cuts. Except, of course, the Republicans are lying.


Weird how so many people who have been enjoying this global order so much and for so long .... and have so much stuff and so many things ..... are now suddenly really really opposed to it. Because a spray-painted reality TV host told them to be?
