Completely wrong person to do that too. If it was Bertrand, I could understand it but not Jennifer. Heard somethings about why that might have happened but will have to wait to share at a later point.
Caine has been really good in front of the cameras explaining the operations in a very clear and concise manner. I think he is has been doing a really impressive job so far.
I was really impressed with Gen. Caine at the press conference a few days ago in contrast to Pete Hegseth at the same press conference whose performance was more appropriate for a partisan Fox News talking head than it was for a Secretary of Defense.
Looks like Trump is crowing about another fake "win." Shocking. UN nuclear watchdog chief says Iran could again begin enriching uranium in ‘matter of months’ The head of the UN’s nuclear watchdog says US strikes on Iran fell short of causing total damage to its nuclear program and that Tehran could restart enriching uranium “in a matter of months,” contradicting President Donald Trump’s claims the US set Tehran’s ambitions back by decades. Rafael Grossi’s comments appear to support an early assessment from the Pentagon’s Defense Intelligence Agency, first reported on by CNN, which suggests the United States’ strikes on key Iranian nuclear sites last week did not destroy the core components of its nuclear program, and likely only set it back by months. https://www.cnn.com/2025/06/29/world/iaea-iran-enriched-uranium-intl
Maybe, but I was surprised at how muted the evangelical rapture fantasies have been the last couple weeks. Maybe it’s because I left that world ~15 years go, but they seem to be louder when the president is on the other team.
It’s a shame when you have to turn to The Daily Beast for actual journalism … Second Intelligence Leak Obliterates Trump’s Iran Claim
It's not actually journalism. It's people in the IC leaking info to the press that do not understand how intel works and then publish info out of context.
Interesting question although obviously based on speculation since it appears that the original bombing seriously damaged but did not completely obliterate (Trump's words) the facility at Fordo (also spelled Fordow) will Trump order a second strike since doing do would indicate that his initial report was an exaggeration? By the way the only way to come remotely close to ensuring that Iran doesn't resurrect it's nuclear program would be a comprehensive agreement providing for frequent and unlimited inspections. Absent an agreement there is the real possibility that Iran will resurrect the program going completely dark this time dispersing its facilities even more widely. Although there may be classified intelligence on the subject based on open sources we have no idea to what extent the bombing destroyed Iran's stockpile of highly enriched near weapons grade uranium. Was it most of the stockpile, some of it or very little? One lesson that's become obvious to Iran is that actually having nuclear capability is the only real deterrent to an of the stockpileerograms and in the case Ukraine an actual nuclear arsenal and the results were not exactly positive for either country.
