Just to clarify, recruited, but only 2 starters by Napier and staff. Unless there are injuries to starters, we may not know about those backups in until 2026
But that's simply a reflection of longevity and that OL typically need time to develop, not really a reflection on this staff Imo
The backups slways get a number of snaps each year. We should know more about the players coming back for 26 in a few months.
We will see unless we once again go portal shopping. This staff has recruited OL in good quantity, but the jury is out on quality and the HS OL recruiting has not been regarded as middle of the road at best. Only 1 of Napiers OL recruits has extensive starting experience ( and has been solid ) the remainder only spot duty. We’ll see how the OT spot goes this year (last year’s day 1 starter was a disaster).
6’5” 340…damn..It looks like we have Little Dez after having Big Dez….big kid but 100lbs less than Big Dez on a good day.
The reality is that Sale has almost completely developed all of this year's starters. George was very poor upon joining us, and an offcast from Bama but is probably as good as anyone on their OL now. None of them were top 200 recruits.
Solid offer list. https://247sports.com/Player/desmond-green-46142640/ https://247sports.com/recruitment/desmond-green-166167/recruitinterests/
George is not as good as anyone on Bamas o line. Proctor is projected as high as a top 2 pick in the next nfl draft. At this time, George isn’t projected to be drafted at all. George has improved. But…he was always projected to be better as a guard than a tackle. He left Bama because they were moving him to guard and he wanted to play tackle. He came to Florida and was given a shot and was not good. He is better suited for guard and that showed last year. But I think it’s a reach to say he would be better than every starting O linemen at Bama. It is more than likely he wouldn’t even crack the starting 5 vs being better than all 5 starters.
