I literally said "faith based" in my original post.

    Here is your quote.

And your second quote was "faith based and tend to be Conservative." So you started that equivalency there and then, when pushed, switched to just religion to try to explain your political statements.

That’s all well and good, but has nothing to do with what I said. No surprise conservatives outpace liberals in adoptions considering a large swath of voters who don’t want to have children are almost exclusively liberal. My contention is that they make no efforts to then protect these children they’re obsessed with forcing the mother’s to birth once they’re out of the womb. Medicaid? Being cut. School shootings? Absolutely no cares given and zero efforts to put in any type of common sense gun control. Things like free school lunch? Conservatives are staunchly against. Get back to me once they actually show they give a crap with their votes.

Reproductive freedom? Abortion would seem to be the opposite for reproduction freedom. It would seem to be the freedom of responsibility for one’s choices

I certainly don't think either side has a monopoly on caring about kids. It does seem that there are differences in terms of when and how people think the government and tax dollars ought to be involved. I think most Republicans want government to have a more significant role during the pregnancy (e.g., to prevent abortion) and are more likely to defer to parents and private charities for their upbringing. Meanwhile, most Democrats would give greater deference to women and their doctors when it comes to abortion but want government to do more for children with public resources (e.g., free or subsidized healthcare, school lunches, etc).

Boo!!! How are we supposed to insult the other side, call them horrible names and make terrible claims about each other if we take such a sensible approach (as outlined above)? I mean.. isn’t the whole point to feel better about our selves by scoring points for our “team”?

So your evidence is that Christians adopt…

I hate to break this to you, but liberals are Christians too. If you don’t have anything better than this; then as a Christian liberal, I am calling bullshit on your claim. You’re better than this…

Ya know, if less money was spent on abortions, there would be more funds available for medical care of children, free lunches, afterschool programs etc. Unfortunately, there's big money in the abortion business so it's not going away. Plus, far too many see abortion as a form of birth control. Oh well.

Exactly. Plus I’d like to see some “Christian” justification for Adriana Smith. What happened to that poor woman was absolutely barbaric and was the direct result of these “heartbeat” laws.

I did laugh at Cat Cammack blaming the “left” for the hesitancy in treating HER ectopic pregnancy.

Apart from the ridiculous notion that Trump is the lesser of two evils from a Christian perspective - I reject your assertion because most Christians have embraced Trump whole heartedly. Trump won the Republican primary running away. There were plenty of other choices. Republicans (including and especially Christians) chose Trump.

Suggestion/request to mods: Can we exempt "nasty guy" as an insult, per forum guidelines? I feel like I ought to be able to call @docspor a nasty guy. I mean, look at Trump and Cruz today. They obviously have seen their way past that lil' kerfuffle and I think we're all adults here, no?

Actually I disagree with you. While there are some conservatives that care, plenty apparently don't - and those appear to be disproportionately represented in who you all tend to vote for. So no hiding from it. The people you all vote into office are the problem on this one.

Nope, abortion is just one part of reproductive freedom. And frankly, when conservatives defund planned parenthood - they are defunding a lot more than just abortion.

I made no such notion. I said it was a perception.

Why do you seem to look for a fight with me so badly lately, that you embellish words to do so.

You and I are very similar in many ways politically.

    I don't get it.
