    Man, say what?!

Bluke had a months-long GIF-gasm after the felon got elected.

It was probably matched only by Rick's soiling every thread with multiple posts that happily crowed "bullDOGE!!!"

What's next from you, believing all these people when they tell us they were actually against the Iraq war? Please.

I’m not sure I’d be pointing fingers at ANYONE and claiming they were “soiling every thread with multiple post” if I had your post record… just saying.

Seems like the Israelis have some good intel that says the bombing were pretty effective and significant damage was done. They have better sources inside Iran than we reportedly do, so that seems to be good news.

The next question which I have not heard an answer from the Trump Admin is what is their desired end state at this point? Iran agrees to denuclearize, turns over their uranium stockpiles, and allows intrusive inspections of their facilities? Regime Change? Something in between?

Iran is at Israel mercy for the next two to three years as the likely do not have the capacity to produce Air Defense and Ballistic Missiles for that time period. So what price are the Mullahs willing to pay to be allowed to stay in power?

There is no denying it affected their capacity. How much? We'll see. Either way, we won't be hearing much from them for a while. Some of the usual bravado (with nothing to back it up), but they've got a lot of shoring up to do on the home front.

Inflation exploded due to the Feds injecting 5 trillion into the system and ultra lower rates. Yes supply chains had effects but if there wasn’t so much demand fueled by free money it would have been far more muted.
The inflation reduction act did little to reduce inflation. Was that passed under Biden or due to Biden?

BTW more people died of covid under Biden.

The ultra low interest rates and 5 Trillion injected into the economy had a very large part to play as well.

In a typical pandemic housing prices, home remodeling and housing starts don’t skyrocket…

While that’s is true in principle the FED hammered rates far harder and faster than other Central banks that and QT arethe biggest reasons inflation retreated.

BTW are you really unaware of WHY more people died of covid under Biden? I 'm surprised you're clueless on that. Totally false on the Feds causin1g inflation, since inflation was worldwide and much higher in the other developed countries. There the free money explanation doesn't hold true.

Hard to say, Trump didn’t propose the Inflation reduction act that some economists suggest added another 2-3 % to an already hot number.

Countries all over the world pumped money into their economy.
Near zero rates and QE stimulates the economy or are you saying it doesn’t?
Are you saying the 5 trillion pumped into the US economy had no effect?

You must be mostly referring to the CARES Act, which was passed due to Trump, and ultra low interest rates that happened under Trump.

It was fortunate that inflation was down to about 3% by the end of 2023, under Biden.

A lot of people shifted to work-from-home for the first time, so “home remodeling” made alot of sense. So many had pent up savings $$$ from not eating out/skipping vacations/etc. Where else to spend? The home remodeling thing made perfect sense in light of that. There’s no way in hell a home remodeling boom came from lower income people getting $1500 stimulus checks.

House prices skyrocketing on the other hand I would not have guessed. Technically that didn’t happen until after most considered the pandemic “over” and the economy turned red hot. But still, if you asked me in 2020 I would have guessed a house price decline based on 1,000,000 deaths creating vacancies and that would’ve been dead wrong. I guess we had been chronically underbuilding since the 2007 housing crisis - and the construction pause was the proverbial straw that broke the camels back.

Maybe this fits here? I’ve seen short vids of Trump at NATO and I don’t think that some folks, including Trump, heard what the NATO leader said. He commented about “daddy having to step in when kids were misbehaving in the yard”, a reference to Trump’s using the f-word about Israel and Iran breaking the cease fire. Then Trump stupidly saying that Mr. NATO was calling Trump his daddy. More BS from Trump. I took the meaning to be that Trump was more like Israel and Iran’s daddy. Not that it really matters, one way or the other because it is a silly example of world leaders being foolish, but it is another example of Trump’s self aggrandizing. He can’t just have a good day and not think he is damn near a god. He is really difficult for me to appreciate. Too bad, when he did seem to have success at the NATO meeting and perhaps gain some respect/support for Ukraine. He just can’t turn off the assholishness…

Obviously you know why "Countries all over the world pumped money into their economy." just like you know why there were more people that died during the Biden admin. You want to assign blame to Biden and ignore facts to do so. Facts are that the US fared better than most developed countries both in terms of medical outcomes and economic outcomes, but that won't mesh with your narrative so you pretend to be unaware.

I get pushback from my own family about my stance.
Trump is embarrassing and I never listen to him when the news covers him.
