The leaker is a hero…. Citizens deserve the truth, not a firehose of nonstop Trump bullshit. They are super pissed because we got some honesty today…. Think about that.
Leaker has balls but is not a hero; and if a military member should face court martial. We do deserve the truth but it should be at the appropriate time through appropriate channels. Preliminary info prematurely released rarely is a good thing. I see no need for a low confidence early report to be shared immediately. It should have remained on a need to know basis. I see every reason for an in-depth analysis to be performed and shared in a manner that doesn’t compromise national security or intel sources…not that the leaked info that was shared compromised anything other than our confidence in those developing and handling sensitive info.
I would agree if it were not for President blowhard putting his face in front of every TV camera he sees to say this was the most successful bombing in the history of the universe, and irans nuclear program is “completely obliterated” …. America shouldn’t be subjected to lies and disinformation by the President. We are not North Korea where Trump shoots a perfect 18 at every round of golf. The correct thing for a president to do is say something like “we are in the process of evaluating the damage and hopeful that the mission is completed”. As long as Trump is going to lie to America, I fully support those brave people who set the record straight.
So you would be OK with someone leaking a classified report that contradicted a public statement from Obama or Biden or Harris statement that was of low confidence in order to cause political harm to the Democratic Administration? Or are the rules different for obeying the laws under Trump? If you want to champion IC Personnel injecting themselves into politics under a Republican Admin, you cannot be upset if they do it for the same reason under a Democratic Admin. The other option is to wait for any Admin to have enough time and space to gather the required intel to make a report with a moderate to high confidence level and then release it. Then we can start judging their actions based off what they would likely be doing of they believed that report.
Is it too much to ask that the Admin. have the sense to hold off from blanket overwhelming success claims until said required intel suggests it?

I must be one of those weird people who likes to hear the truth. Sure, if Obama was lying his ass off to America, I'd like to hear about it. Thankfully, Obama and Biden were not garbage peddling compulsive liars like your hero. If you think this was a great "got ya" moment, you would be wrong.
I think Trump's description will be very close to accurate when all is said and done. The premature leak of classified information will prove to be inaccurate and done to try to discredit the President. Just like all of the people who jumped on the India-Pakistan attacks immediately after the truce was announced, it seems to be holding now. The same with the Israel-Iran cease fire, it seems to be holding now as well.
I'll go on record with my guess that we will be hearing about Iran advancing their nuclear program next year, but probably from what other countries are saying. Trump will, of course, deny it. Without leakers, how would you even know if Trump's description is accurate if all the "official" info that will be release to public for the next 3.5 years will be filtered through our new Ministry of Information?
It will be difficult for us to have any accurate idea of this for quite some time, given the constant stream of almost nothing but lies from Trump and the Trump Administration.
IF the information is not accurate, then it is a fabrication. How is it then a leak classified information? It cannot both be false, and a leak of classified information. It can only be one or the other, and since Donald Trump has not opened his mouth without lying in 40+ years, I will assume that this is a leak and the facility 20-30m under a mountain shielded by ultra dense concrete was shaken, but likely not destroyed by a bomb designed to penetrate a 15m of concrete.
My expectation is that the admin is telling the IC to change the report, just like Trump got Tulsi to change her tune. They delayed the report to Congress for a reason and it wasn’t for good news.
