    Dumbest crap I ever heard. Yeah most dangerous if you’re a criminal and might get charged rather than making rape cases with credibility just disappear. Where was there methodology for this crap? What a load.

    IIRC, in the '80s, Gainesville was Murder City USA twice. Small town, small sample size, stats can get skewed fairly easily. Didn't feel unsafe.

    Considering this is restricted to towns rather than cities and also that Gainesville is on a huge drug smuggling route (I-75 north) this shouldn't surprise anyone.

    Also it's very safe if you're not about that life. Lots of gangs have a presence but if you're just an average Joe it's as safe as any other town.

    How many of the “crimes” take place on game days? Is open container a “crime”?
