Trump announces cease fire between Iran and Israel (to be phased in over the next 24 hours)

Trump must be fuming as polling shows that America disapproves, by a wide margin, his failed bombing. 56% to 44%. Ouch.

America just doesn't trust republicans with making war decisions anymore, I guess.

No one know if they have succeeded or failed yet. Will have to wait from the BDA and HUMINT/SIGINT reflections. The Israelis are probably going to be the ones that help with the latter.

It is probably too soon to be polling on this question since we do not know the outcome of the action. If the strike worked and Iran sues for peace, that would likely change people's mind. Same thing if the strike did not work and the conflict got worse.

 

Weird, because Trump keeps saying it was the greatest bombing success the world has ever known, or something like that ...

Trump is a blowhard this is true but to seemingly be joyful that the objectives weren’t met based on your choice of “expert” is disingenuous at best.

 

At the very least it sure appears the hardened facility is toast.

And the flip side is true. If you agree with anything Trump does you’re a MAGA idiot.

I'm thinking that those folks may have been right. A classified assessment was just leaked to NYT and CNN. It assesses only a few months of delay as the damage was largely outside and not to the equipment. The White House pushed back by insulting whoever leaked it and claiming that it couldn't be true because they dropped very big bombs, but this report does seem more professionally done even if it is off political message.

I think the report is suspect based on very limited information.

 

I find it curious that any accurate report could be made in 48 hours and then subsequently “leaked” to the NYT.

Seems to me the real people in the know would keep that under wraps. Perhaps I put too much faith in those in the know.
