Well, those things aren't even necessarily true. But it must be nice to just assume to be true anything negative about people you dislike - it's certainly convenient. But you're right - those are certainly three negative qualities or actions, or negative labels of what someone could do or be. I can certainly see how you would strongly avoid anyone who "tagged all three of those bases concurrently." Just for the sake of argument, how would you feel about someone who "tagged the three bases" of being a convicted felon, an adjudicated sexual assaulter, and had also been accused of rape and assault by his wife?
When did I say I feel sorry for him for being a Maryland dad? Maybe all these things are true, but you’re making a lot of assumptions here, about me and Kilmar. Why not just wait for a trial before condemning him as guilty? Or ask me for my views before condemning them?
If he's a gang banger, when was he charged and convicted? If he's a wife beater, same question, where are the charges and convictions? At least you can point to one charge if human trafficking, but in our society, people are innocent until proven guilty. And in the eyes of the law, Abrego Garcia is still an innocent man with 34 less felony convictions than our President.
So let's address the "Gang banger" part of this. What is your reaction to the judge's ruling that the government's evidence of gang involvement is both double hearsay and not convincing even if it weren't double hearsay? Seems like such a factual statement would come with a stronger factual foundation than weak double hearsay evidence.

The thing about due process is it only works if it is applied evenly. We can't just pick a group of people and decide they don't get due process. Then have them tried in the court of public opinion based on hyper partisan news reporting to form an opinion that breaks up a family and sends a person to a contracted Venezuelan prison. That is terrible precedent. If this person happens to be all the things the partisan news reported, I think the majority of people on the left agree he should punished based on the current laws.

I would add that the Prince Georges County police officer who labeled Abrego Garcia as a gang member was later terminated for misconduct in another case, not exactly a credible source and the allegation that he was involved in human trafficking is based on traffic stop in Tennessee in 2022. Seems that the evidence was strong and credible he would have been charged back then.
It's strange that you think defending the Constitution is defending a person. People are defending the rights of Habeus Corpus and due process. It's not complicated. As usual Trump managed to turn it into a political football. It's sad that people play his game. But then, people support sending individuals who have had no trial to a prison in a country not of their own, so it's not a surprise.

Although the allegations against him may or may not be accurate the evidence of those allegations appears to be rather weak. He was deported to El Salvador despite a standing court order prohibiting his deportation. My guess is that the reason for the order was because rather than being a member of MS13 he may have very well been a target of the gang back in El Salvador with deportation putting his life in jeopardy.
