Presumably we don’t actually want to have to shell coastal Iran and sink the entire Iranian navy. But hey, will be a little bit ironic if we finally get to sink the Iranian cruiser that we crippled during Operation Preying Mantis in the 1980s but then let them tow it away to avoid escalating (it was eventually repaired and returned to service, where it is still in active duty).

What are you talking about? My point is that the war against Iran is incentivizing Iran to buy a nuke or nukes from North Korea. NK wants cash. Iran has cash and wants nukes. Yossef Bodanky, who once headed up the Congressional Task Force on Terrorism and Unconventional Warfare, has written Intel reports about the secret history of the Iran-North Korea nuclear weapon program. Bodansky wrote the definitive biography on Osama bin Laden. He predicted the OKC bombing (close enough for me). Predicted jets would hit the WTC .

They may have, as I've said for many years. Seems irresponsible to assume it never happened. Just one more reason why we should have good relations with Iran. Iran was once our strongest ally in the Middle East.

Yes, they were under a different regime. The new one held Americans hostage for over a year and has been killing Americans for the past 45+ years.

 

Just because you have nuclear weapons doesn't mean you',ll use them against another country like Israel that might have 200-300 nukes. That would be suicidal.

I would not trust Iran to tell the truth about anything, since their religion teaches lying as a form of religious warfare against enemies. It could be argued we are in this mess to begin with because Iran has been engaging in Taqiyya since the beginning with their nuclear program and we naively believed the negotiations to be in good faith.
