I probably hate trump just as much as any other liberal person on here - but I think we need to take our Trump hate blinders off here.
The only reason we hadn't bombed Iran in the past was because it would have been a significant campaign and they had strong allies.
    But consider the current moment:
    1. Hamas in hiding
    2. Hezbollah so weakened they've already said they won't respond
    3. Lebanon won't support Hezbollah
    4. Syria is in regime change
    5. Russia is as weak as its ever been and distracted in Ukraine
    6. China is absolutely dependent on oil flowing through the straight, and therefore, will not support Iran in a long war that will disrupt shipping
    7. Israel had already destroyed all of Iran's air defenses
    8. International opinion of the US is already as low

So, as long as the ROI on this stays positive, in the sense that Iran isn't really able to conceivably hit back, and we successfully destroyed the majority of their nuclear program, I think it was the right decision. Now we just wait to see if we were actually successful, and what the costs are.

Another Moron. Israel isn’t relying on or using missiles in this conflict. Or do you not pay attention?

Your better example would be President Obama vis-a-vis Libya, not OBL. The mission to conclude OBL was authorized under the 2001 statutory authorization. Too easy to argue that. Libya, on the other hand, was not related to GWOT. Many of the Democrat leaders arguing for impeachment today would be more credible on this issue today if they had openly opposed President Obama’s failure to ask Congress for statutory authorization back in 2011. Or had they opposed President Clinton with respect to Kosovo in 1999 for that matter. Unfortunately, debates on war powers seem to come down to one thing only: whether my President does it (good to go) or theirs does (impeachable!). And I say this as a strong supporter of the spirit of the WPR. I’ll say again, I think the first thing the President should do Monday morning is request authorization for future force under certain conditions, and Congress should vote on it.

How do you think Israel intercepts Iranian missiles? Israel is running low (or will be soon) on Arrow Interceptor missiles.

Ray McGovern might be the most cited ex-CIA analysts on X. He was an amalyst for 27 years (1963-1990) and helped prepare presidential daily briefs.

I think the missiles he’s referring to are Patriots, THAAD, etc.

That’s not what he said. And Israel has already publicly said that it is not short of interceptors

Sec Def says that Congressional leaders were notified in compliance with the War Powers Act.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs said that this operation was planned for weeks. Again indicating Israel didn’t for the US’ hand

Several reporters have stated that there were no leaks on this operation.

I believe that. But do you think that will convince even one person who thinks that Israel secretly controls (not merely influences, which of course it does) U.S. policy?

Does anyone think Iran stored most of its enriched uranium where the US or Israel could bomb it?

Pakistan might now be incentivized to provide nukes to Iran. China has a huge financial stake in Iran and will be beefing up Iran's military.

    Gas prices might rise sharply.

Our aircraft carriers and military.facilities and personnel are within range of highly accurate hypersonic missiles.

Israel First, evidently. MAGA base will fall apart a lot more if this continues

It's interesting watching side-by-side Hegseth and General Caine. Night and day. The guy who is the current SOD vs someone who would actually be qualified to be the SOD.

Even if Iran wasn't complying, wouldn't there still have been value in having access to their nuclear sites, even if it was only what they wanted us to see? Or would we already have access to that level of intelligence without on-site inspectors?

That's how you interpreted what McGovern said. What else could McGovern have been referring to except interceptor missiles?

Truth is the first casualty of war. From the Wall Street Journal:

Israel is running critically low on key missile defence interceptors, particularly the Arrow system, amid intensified missile barrages from Iran, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal citing a senior US official.

The Israelis on the ground will be able to provide an accurate damage assessment.

I notice, almost without exception, after the person holding the press conference has unmistakably ended it and is walking away, one jerk-off reporter shouts out another question as if they’re going to get an answer. That just happened. Does that EVER work, or is it like fouling at the end of a basketball game?

And how exactly would it be enforced given Iran was not being 100% open?

Normally rational posters are losing their minds
You'd think certain areas like the power grid would be made unhackable but they're not. Iran has a long arm and can csuse great harm to the US
