Not that this is going to make me go out and buy a Tesla. but I have to admit this is pretty damned impressive
They make batteries for some of their cars but they haven't figured out how to surpass Chinese EV technology which is why they are stuck buying from BYD
I bought a Tesla a year ago and it is the best car I have ever owned. I love to drive it so much that I run all the errands for my wife. The self driving feature is so helpful. When I go out to eat and have a drink or two, you can just set it to drive home and it does almost perfectly. The drive way to the house is not on the maps so it will stop on the street in front of the house.
sounds like they should advertise this more....buy a Tesla so you can ride drunk and get home safely.
Kind of. If we get into a shooting war with China over Iran or Taiwan, batteries, circuit boards, replacement robots and embedded controllers etc will all stop coming from China and Tesla will go out of business over night. So, in a broad sense, yes, finding alternative to all of the Chinese supplied content is huge for them. Also, their a-hole, ketamine loving CEO stop pissing off the very people he is targeting to buy his cars would also help.
If Tesla had designed their Truck not to look like an aluminum dumpster I would have seriously considered one. They didn’t and I settled for another Honda quasi-truck.
After his investment in the Tesla Gigafactory in Texas it's easy to understand why Elon is so pissed off at Trump and the Republicans for withdrawing tax incentives to purchase EVs. By the way this is the latest on the plant. Tesla will be pausing production. The official explanation from Tesla is that production is being paused for maintenance. I suspect that the real reason is reduced demand for the products produced at the plant. Tesla plans to temporarily pause manufacturing of Cybertruck, Model Ys at Texas Gigafactory: report | kvue.com TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas — Elon Musk's automotive company will reportedly halt manufacturing of certain vehicles for one week at the end of June into July. Tesla will stop production on its Cybertruck and Model Y vehicles starting June 30 to allow for maintenance, according to Business Insider. During this time, workers at Travis County's Tesla Gigafactory can participate in voluntary training and cleaning and/or use their paid time off.
It’s interesting that the self driving feature works almost perfectly. Does that mean it only hits one pedestrian on the way home?
