All I had to do was mess up once. I was called out for it and now I check after every selection so I get it right. It’s simple once you learn.
Yeah, nobody likes to get hit with a Dislike, C'Mon Man or a Disagree/Bacon. If it's done by mistake, we should go back and delete it. But if it was meant to be, then it should be followed by a post that explains why. Nothing wrong with disagreements, but just throwing those negatives out there without stating the reasons isn't cool, IMO.
Many times it seems to come from people who have apparently been around since 2007 yet they’ve never made an actual post…ever, not once. Just trolls imo. Other times it comes from well known and unfortunately vocal trolls lol.
Now if we could only NOT see ratings of people we’ve ignored that would be great. But if we must then I demand the ability to give myself disagree bacons! I would find it humorous and imagine many would be awfully confused

The transfer portal closed June 16. Been here since January 2008 after finally figuring out where the Swampie gang went. Only (785) posts in that time because I'm cautious when it comes to giving my opinion. Can't understand why anyone gives two hoots about a negative rating. Or, maybe more so, why anyone bothers to give one. Since 99% of what's posted on GC are people's opinions. As far as determining what constitutes a troll. Some of the most interesting posts on GC are from long time members that have very few posts. Quality > quantity. Conversely, I'd suggest anyone that's been here since 2007 and isn't GC staff, or a Mod, and has 50K posts, is a troll. A troll looking to simply poke the bear or seeking adoration, i.e. atta boys. Both of which aren't healthy approaches to life.
Who? If you're talking about Townsen Thomas she's not going anywhere. She never entered the portal, redshirted this year and is still a Gator. I predict she'll be a starting outfielder next year and may be our leadoff hitter.
UR right -- disproportionate number of dislikes / disagree bacon / and "come on man" from posters you've never hear of. My theory is that they are the alter ego of posters you know, but who don't want to post negativity in their own name. I was going to give your post a DISLIKE, but then there is no wink emoji to say "just kidding."
We will see. But we need to face the facts. There isn't much left. I don't know the specifics but I can virtually guarantee we missed on some that would love to be a Gator....because we can't compete financially. There are probably between 10-20 programs that can just bury us. And that's why you see player after player flocking to Texas Tech, A&M, Oklahoma, etc. Our offers are almost laughable compared to what those others offer. Tech has the oil money. A&M has a ton of engineering company money as they are a top engineering school. We know about Oklahoma and the unlimited funds from Loves. We have nothing like that. I am greatly concerned if we can maintain our previous lofty success in an era of "Money Ball" when we don't have the money. I don't like it has come to this anymore than the rest of you do. But that is reality as it exists now.
