I saw rumblings from yesterday that the Tech poaching of players on other teams started back in February and even telling a few of their players you could very well be moved along for potential replacements at season end.
When NiJaree leaves after next year TT is going to be an afterthought for good softball players. Final softball rankings had 3 Big 12 teams in the top 25. #2, #18, #25. SEC had 12. Welcome to Lubbock Mia.....FYI. Gators were 4 & 1 against Big 12 this year and outscored them 47-8. Go Gators
21 is also an adorable 19-year-old. She is very mature and has good insight for someone her age. She’s also enjoyable to be around and talk with. CTW got himself a really good one and Rick had some good insight years ago.
Korbe is playing very well. Two hits yesterday. Two today. Threw out a runner tagging from third with a beautiful one hop bullet to home. That's her second assist from left in six games. And Baylee Klinger, who I have said for years is not just a talented player but also one of the most devastatingly beautiful women in the world, is just flat tearing this league apart. She's something like 13 for 22 with a grand slam today.
Not sure but I think she is of Lebanese descent and she has Middle Eastern features. Several years ago she posted some photos of her outside of uniform and I was just completely taken aback. I had started to watch her when she decided to leave A&M hoping we could get her but I doubt we came close. Those photos were both absurdly beautiful and somehow a little bit scary at the same time. Dynamic. Edit: Actually, I started watching her before she ever got to A&M. First saw her playing for USA National 18U when she was still going into her senior year in high school and she was an obvious talent. Have paid attention to her ever since. Heather Tarr was the coach of the 18U team and we had no shot when she decided to leave A&M. She already had a relationship with Tarr and never looked back heading to Washington.
The top four batting averages for returning players in 24 were 447, 403, 310, 263 (355). For returning players in 25 were 434, 382, 372, 367 (387). For returning players in 26 are 389, 303, 302, 290 (321). I'm just presenting the facts. You make your own evaluations. I have mine but I'm always wrong. Go Gators.
It’s hard to replace Korbe, Kendra and Reagan overnight. Kendra and Reagan took two years at least to develop. So we must have patience and see what happens. I have confidence in the coaching staff (except Aric, who needs to develop gap hitting and bunting instead of going for the home run ball all the time)
That appears to be the opinion of the day. And my gosh, I'm not defending Aric. But I remember as recently as what, two years ago, we couldn't have hit a home run if it was tossed to us just outside the warning track. Without looking it up, something like 36 home runs the entire season. We play the game with what we have to offer.
Unity and cohesion in the dugout will overcome a lot of obstacles, IMO. Of course you have to have talent, but when there are troublemakers on the team and they have division among the ranks, you're not going to win championships. I'll just observe, comment and continue to be a giant fan of Gator softball.

Red was out working our recent camps. She wasn't going anywhere. She lost half a season with injuries. Never had a chance to groove what she can do. I am hoping, and expecting, for a lot from her next season. Instagram Edit: I can never get Instagram pics to post. My hope, though, remains the same.
I tried to post it: https://www.instagram.com/stories/katelynnred39/3657676418712749758?igsh=aHduaHBjdDlxYnlh
