Non-approval approval? “U.S. President Donald Trump told senior aides late Tuesday that he approved attack plans for Iran but has withheld a final order to see if Tehran would abandon its nuclear program, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday, citing three people familiar with the deliberations.” https://www.reuters.com/world/middl...n-pending-final-order-wsj-reports-2025-06-18/
This is not an encouraging statement: Also, Flight Radar tracked 2 large Chinese military transports about to enter Iranian airspace, and then their transponders were turned off. China looking to fight the US via proxy?
Will be interesting if Israel engages any of these aircraft as they conduct sorties over Iran. To play that out, if one of them gets shot down, then what?
Reading some posts with video on SM that Iran’s missiles are getting through, maybe devastating parts of Israel. Anyone seeing the same?
One of China’s military weaknesses is they are not battle tested, quite literally. They have lots of capabilities, but the US is far more experienced in war and battle. They are looking for ways to close the experience gap with the US military. I would guess soldiers are on those transport planes, and China wants those soldiers to get some professional development experience to prepare them for future conflicts with the US. I have no intel or expertise, but China seems to be playing their involvement off, whatever that is going to be, as benevolent and virtuous when it is anything but that.
Not that unusual. There is an agreed upon plan but requires POTUS approval orders for it to be executed. Similar to the UBL Raid under Obama. The plan is set but the POTUS has to give the final Go order.
Nope. Probably in and around 25 hits in Israel. Probably in and around 2,500 hits in Iran. Here's my favorite: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ziIxbkZYmAM
That is a classic! I do hope we do not have to help Israel. If the numbers are true, we should not need to.
It looks like Israel needs some help with nuke sites in the mountains. And Trump might want to do something with Iran's navy to keep the shipping lanes clean. Definitely no boots on the ground though.
Hard to know what’s real, or not. Falastin | فلسطين on Instagram: " Circulating footage captures a massive explosion, reportedly at Israel’s Nevatim airbase, after a barrage of Iranian missiles. The clip appears to show an air defense system malfunctioning, firing anti-aircraft missiles directly into the ground. #Iran #Israel #BreakingNews #Nevatim #MiddleEast"
Wouldn't be surprising to wake up to news that bunker busters have been dropped by our bombers in the coming days.
[QUOTE="CaptUSMCNole, post: More likely they are evacuating their nationals from Iran.[/QUOTE] Not sure why you send military aircraft for that. Commercial jets are not allowed to be targeted and there are flights constantly leaving Tehran.
