This is how we had the money to keep a starting 4 on the OL that ranks in top 5 in the country.

Doesn’t matter to me what their ‘star ranking’ is/was, so long as the product on the field more than justifies the take. What I DID mind was a Coaching Staff with a philosophy/plan that needed 4-5 years to get things rolling. Hope it never happens again. BUT, they didn’t poll me/us for what we preferred. And Bill has the opportunity now to show the proof in the pudding. I just hope that it does in fact turn out to be an Offensive product that we actually enjoy watching. Go Gators.

Can't argue tuscaloosa, much has been made of the deterioration of UF's program with Dan Mullen's departure, true or not, it's been a tough 4 years (Dan's last and Napier's first three), here is hoping UF is over the hump now and ready to make HAY!

Sometimes what we want is not how reality unfolds.

I was never a total freak like all my buddies. They would be out there almost every day all spring.

Now you can look all day for three days and posibly not see a fish.

    Yeah hit or miss.
We were out there in late April / early May.

That 62 lb was a good one but my Uncle caught an 81 lb one out of Destin with the same captain.

Both these were back in the 90's.

Have not been in a long time, I live in Yankee ville now. (Near Philadelphia)
Mainly fish for Stripers up here when I go.

We killed em in the 90's. Now, the last several weve caught are off wrecks bottom fidhing. We dont even bother running the beach looking for them anymore.

Wow that sucks, I have fond memories of the Cobia runs off the beach, needed a flying bridge and had to hit them suckers in the damn head with the tackle! LOL

Of course catching them Grouper and Red Snapper off those wrecks or bottom structure is amazing, and talk about good eatin.............

I recall 70s/80s on the docks in Destin. A boat would come in with piles of fish. Do you have the impression population has decreased over the decades?

That’s really sad. How much of a role do you think Deepwater Horizon has played in the decline?

Can't speak for Wanne, but I check the fishing reports from Destin, the boat captains are still catching red snapper pretty good but mostly they are small in size with an occasional good one. .

And leave one in the water while you throw at the others who followed him to the boat

We used to fish for “ling” out of Tyndall AFB when I was a kid. We used to refer to polarized sunglasses as “ling glasses”

It sure didn't help and I will be damned if I will ever buy gas from a BP station ever again. I know it's not the independent station owners fault but I just won't do it.

Yeah, those 20-30lb snapper were nice. The big Warsaw Grouper were something to behold. "Fished out"?
