Nice no answer .... standard "journalist" dodge .... typical "river response". Nada.

Also .. like the TDS-driven "but Trump" statement added.

And then we have the "NO KINGS peace keeping team" accidently killing an innocent bystander:

'Innocent bystander' shot dead by 'peacekeepers' during 'No Kings' protest in Salt Lake City

Also detained Saturday were two men who were part of the event "peacekeeping team." One of the "peacekeepers" ultimately fired the shot that fatally injured Ah Loo, police said.

It was not immediately clear whether those two men will face charges.

The men told police they saw Gamboa move away from the crowd and begin manipulating an AR-15-style rife, prompting them to draw their guns and order him to drop the weapon, police said.

Instead, Gamboa ran into the crowd, holding his gun in "a firing position," police said. In response, one of the "peacekeepers" fired three shots, one of which struck Gamboa and another which hit Ah Loo, according to police.

BTW .... I'm starting to somewhat agree with the democrats on gun control; they (democrats) should not be allowed to own/possess any type of firearm.

Of course, I don't know exactly what she was thinking. And neither do you.

Is it your contention that Trumpy did not say that? Because he did.

She was trying to be witty and it fell flat. There’s zero chance she was actually calling for his assassination but making a play on words based on Trump’s DOGE. It was in very poor taste but nothing more than that. Now, if you truly believe she was calling for his assassination then I’d question your discernment and judgment.

    Right here
I think you’re probably right. Still I’m no fan of this. We should note that Kash Patel made the basically same joke on twitter.

Senate Judiciary Democrats on X: "Kash Patel, Donald Trump’s pick for FBI Director, shared an AI-generated video of himself chainsawing Members of Congress, political opponents, and media outlets. Dangerous and disqualified. https://t.co/2hcDu7ORPA" / X

Really? How do you know? Did this lady tell you before she attended the march that she was being "witty" and cute with this depiction of a decapitation? And do you know for a fact; she was being honest with you when she told you that?

Just how do you and river-journalist "KNOW" what this lady was thinking when she decided to do what she did? Do you two have some sort of superpower that allows you to make such determinations?

C'mon demo .... you are better than this statement that "there's zero chance she was calling for an assassination".

It is clearly not a call for actual assassination. What it is just mute fire brands, more heated rhetoric.

So we are equating Twitter posts of photographs with actual political assassinations by right wing evangelicals now?

    https://www.nytimes.com/2025/06/14/us/politics/minnesota-shootings-gunman-suspect.html

Tell me again about the poor mental health of liberals and I’ll tell you every accusation is an admission.

But river is not wrong. Here is the thing.....

I find calling for anyone's death abhorrent. Even people I really dislike. Donal Trump is a perfect example. I loathe him, have for many, many years before almost anyone on this board knew who he was other than an epic failured at realestate development.

However, you do not call for people's death. You just don't.

At the same time, as President of the United States, Donald Trump should have NEVER said some of the thing he has said, up to and including the whole "kidnap Biden" non-sense.

So, we have a choice. We either run around and arrest everyone who does and says provacative, stupid things, or we finally realize it is time to back away from where all of this is headed.

If you want quibble with “know” vs conviction and moral certainty, fine. I won’t push back on that. I am exceedingly comfortable in my read on the situation and what any reasonable person would take it to mean that doesn’t have a partisan viewpoint.
