My take…after bluffing on using military force in Greenland, Panama, Canada, etc, then bluffing most of the world on tariffs, Trump needed some concrete evidence that he is not just a bluffer. He said Iran had 60 days, and he was not lying. Putin, Xi, and Kim Jong Un were watching. You can take it to the bank that what happened to Iran will be in the back of their minds when they negotiate with Trump.
Iran appears to be running out of missiles (and/or launchers). They might want to recall one or two of the ships going up the Caspian Sea to Russia. Also, Israel is targeting the Pars South gas field, considered the largest in the world. About 90% of Iran's electricity comes from natural gas. Is Iran running out of missiles? Its rate of attack on Israel is already slowing down, think tank says
Except that Iran is enriching uranium to a level that has no civilian use. Thats the conclusion of the IEAA report. Tulsi Gabbart is wrong. And if that is still her assessment, we need a new DNI.
The only way that Trump engages militarily is if Israel wipes out Iran's military capabilities completely, and Trump figures he can send some troops in and take credit for the victory, maybe have another parade. All Trump has is his bluffing. He has no sense of right or wrong other than if he does it, then it's right; if someone else does it, then it's wrong. Trump has little use for the military beyond parades. Putin, Xi, and Kim Jong Un can only laugh their asses off at the orange-tinted clown.
This is why I think the US needs to get involved solely for taking out their two nuclear facilities. And by “take out” I mean completely demolish beyond any potential repair/rebuild and use of their currently enriched uranium.
Craziest footage of an Iranian ballistic missile I’ve seen: https://www.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/s/jxUQPAMTkY
once regime change occurs, the dismantling of those facilities would be much easier since that will be part of the negotiations
I see the value, but I still say that value is outweighed by the potential strategic damage of being the aggressor in a widening war, a war that may widen anyway. Let Iran be the aggressor. If they attack our bases, attack our treaty allies, or obstruct freedon of the seas, then it’s game on. And even Russia and/or China won’t be able to do a thing but grumble.
I don’t see it as a widening of the war. I think it is more of getting to the head of the same snake that you’ve cut the tail off of a couple of times.
You really need to stop quoting that pedophile. If you cannot find someone else making the same point, that might tell you something.
The ICC's actions last year proved that is not a serious organization. We are not part of it for good reasons.
There is some evidence they tried to hit our “consulate” (for lack of a better word) in Kurdish Iraq. The consulate defenses shot down the drone and it landed it Erbil.
What I'm hearing: Israel evidently used Mark Levin among others to convince Trump that Iran could be attacked by Israel and the consequences would not be severe on gas prices (among other things). Similar to when Assad's nuclear facilities were attacked. Trump thought the attacks would begin later this week, not last week. He evidently wanted to leverage that to get Iran to agree to the de-escalatiom of Iran's nuclear program that was to be guaranteed by Russia. As a rule of thumb it takes about 72 hours to clear US personn from our Middle East facilities. Israel attacked roughly 24 hours after US personnel were told to leave. This could have caused a tragic loss of life if not for the restraint shown by Iran. Netanyahu did not want a peace deal. He wanted war and regime change. And he threw Trump under the bus Trump was taken by surprise by the timing of the attacks. Very bad for Trump because it makes it look like Trump: 1) Can't control Israel or 2) Trump let Iran think negotiations were still going on to make Iran let its guard down to make Israel's attacks more effective. Both possibilities are bad for Trump's reputation Amazing how accurate Israel's weapons are in Iran compared to Gaza. Amazing how well Israeli spies/assets have penatrated Iran but supposedly not Hamas. Some believe Netamyahu had advance warning of the October 7 attack but wanted to use it to stay in power, ethnically cleanse Palestinians, annex Gaza, overthrow Assad, attack Hezbollah and attack Iran.
It doesn’t need to take 72 hours for US personnel to leave the ME. It takes however long people drag their feet in deciding to leave and then getttingns flight out. So can be less than 24 hours if motivated
MTG has been consistent with wanting the US to stay out of everything. It's interesting to see those against helping Ukraine are all in on Israel
That's what you'd think. I heard a lot of our people could have been killed by Iran so maybe they weren't motivated
I understand that you may see it that way. But the addition of belligerents to a conflict is textbook widening regardless. It all may be inevitable anyway. Let’s see what Iran does once they run short on long-range munitions to throw at area targets in Israel.
That’s only because Netanyahu finally got a direct hit on her brain with his space laser and scrambled her DNA. She will come back around.
