I might feel differently as the game draws near but I’ve had a feeling about this game since the end of last season. I think we beat Texas. You can hold me to it Wanne.

 

Do you think he knows the athletic facility doesn’t go on the road to recruit?

 

I sure hope Manning doesnt live up to the hype and our defense is top 20.

 

Shivers shouldnt be counted on but there as backup in the event of injuries. Looks pretty thin to me. Lyons may be the man but he isnt proven to be the man just yet. Hopefully his ankle was just a freak accident and he is as good as new. Lets hope he takes the majority of the snaps there and is dominant.

 

The thing is he didn't even actually say this. The new football facility wasn't complete when he was here and all he said is they're better than when he was here which there is a good argument literally any school with a football facility has better facilities than we did up to 2021.

 

Great job by the staff and all involved with the amazing recruits we have had commit to us the past couple of weeks. I do have a question which is out of concern.....How many of them have shut down their recruiting and canceled their visits? I have not seen that anyplace.

 

The ones I know, Griffin, Hall, Carr. There may be more but that's who I know

 

Thanks Candy. I hope there are more that will shut down their recruiting. As you are well aware in today's recruiting world if you say you are committed and still visiting other schools then you are not committed.

 

Saying they shut down their recruiting doesn’t actually mean that’s what they’ll do. We had a handful of guys flip a couple years ago after many proclamations of shut down recruitments.

 

And we have many more say they committed to us and then kept going on visits and what not and we ended up losing them. Not saying an athlete who announces he is shutting down their recruitment is all in but it sure is a good sign.

 

I still follow recruiting, but I’m not going to get overly invested in any single player. Even being signed and enrolled doesn’t mean much, commitments mean almost nothing. Saying they’ve shut down their recruitment is cool to hear, but it still doesn’t really mean anything to me. Plenty of guys continue to take visits and end up sticking it out with us too. The rumored numbers they’re getting just for taking visits nowadays, I can’t even hardly blame them if they keep visiting.
