Well is she comes here its definitely to be a Gator and academics because we are not competitive in NIL at all
I get that college is the final curtain for most softball players. I get that if they are at the level of playing for a top NCAA school, then their entire life has probably been about softball, with all the sacrifices for travel ball, camps, etc.. But it just seems short-sighted to give up a UF degree that will serve you well for 50 years, to transfer to a lesser school that will give you a really great 2026.
On3 is now showing that Terry has been offered by Texas A&M & FSU. Our chances listed at 16.1%, same as FSU.
I noticed that from Hannah DeMarcus' post of her time at the prospect camp. That is an extremely interesting photo. The three kids left to right are already committed Gators from the 2026 class. That Hannah plays with them on Impact and joined the photo hopefully speaks volumes. (I don't know about the name tags though....makes them look like criminals.)
Kylie Shaw has been offered by Mississippi State & North Carolina State. Mia Williams has been offered by Georgia, LSU & Texas Tech. Layla Lamar has, supposedly, committed to Arizona. Kiley Channell still showing as only being offered by Auburn, Clemson & Ole Miss. All of this is showing on On3.com/transfer-portal/wire/softball
Ya, know. I'm liking this even more. There is a fourth Gator, and hopefully a fifth, that could be in that photo. Leah Stevens also plays for Impact. She wouldn't be at a prospect camp since she is an already signed player. But that means at least one third of Hannah's travel team, and a very good one at that, are all Gators. I like that situation...a lot.
Does it alarm some of you people that five girls left a WCWS team to go somewhere else. It bothers me but I'm only a diehard fan and claim to no nothing about the intricacies of the sport.
